21/02/2025: Very nice place, quiet, very kind staff that makes you feel in a family environment and can give you the best advice, the food is presented wonderfully but above all it is super delicious, a restaurant to return to and recommend to everyone

10/02/2025: Chopping board with good local products. For the rest everything is based on rice, from appetizers to desserts. Generous portions. All very good and fair prices. Very nice place, shame about the presence of various TVs on which films of the farm were filmed, personally I found them superfluous to say the least, but that's just a flaw.

18/12/2024: Thanks THE OLD SCHOOL I went to bed without eating. I parked the truck 200m away from your restaurant because I wanted to eat in the evening but the lady at the bar first looked at how I was dressed and then told me that she was sorry that there are no seats. I was wearing clean but work clothes. Thanks for making me sleep without eating.

05/02/2025: Il ristorante Pila dell'Abate di Isola della Scala è stata una piacevolissima scoperta. La location è suggestiva e accogliente, all'esterno ma soprattutto all'interno. È tutto estremamente curato, sembra di fare un salto indietro nel tempo, quando la struttura era un mulino in attività. Ci sono tantissimi oggetti d'epoca esposti con cura. Strepitosa la cucina: abbiamo provato la loro degustazione di risotti su prenotazione (nel nostro caso, radicchio e monte veronese, ovviamente il risotto all'Isolana e quello all'Amarone, ma le proposte variano in base alla stagione e ai prodotti freschi disponibili). la degustazione prevede antipasto, tris di risotti e dessert. Porzioni giuste, presentazione curata, possibilità di "fare il bis" e sapori eccezionali. Nota di merito per la cottura del riso, perfetta. Complimenti anche per lo staff e il servizio: sempre attenti, con il giusto atteggiamento, e il sorriso che non manca mai. Disponibili a preparare proposte anche per chi è vegetariano. Bravissimi tutti! Torneremo sicuramente!

09/02/2025: I have always heard of it, but I had never been there, a really excellent place, the warm and welcoming environment, professional and very polite staff, which is not to be taken for granted. We ate the pizza... what can I say: Excellent, well cooked and the ingredients well balanced between them. In my 30 years as a professional in the industry as a Chef de Cuisine, and after having traveled around a bit, I really give my compliments. Ps: next time I'll try the cuisine. Thanks to all the staff.

28/01/2025: We are now regular customers at lunch and each course is a guarantee of quality and quantity, fast, friendly, informal, homely. Island-style risotto and boiled risotto with pearà made like at home, never tasted better. Highly recommended

26/10/2024: Upon entering the restaurant I had a feeling of old, small and dilapidated but, once the ordered dishes arrived, everything fades into the background. Excellent sandwiches and delicious (albeit cold) chips. The Bandidos a real treat! The beers and bitters are truly top-quality! Prices are slightly above average but you are happy to pay given the goodness. Highly recommended!

21/09/2024: A must for risotto lovers! If you're in the area, a visit to the Rice Pope shouldn't be missed! The risottos are simply fantastic – tasty and creatively prepared. There is also a good selection of wines that go perfectly with the dishes. The price-performance ratio is also absolutely right here. For the quality you get, the prices are more than fair. We'll definitely be back!

26/01/2025: La location è semplice nello stile, ma leggermente trascurata. Lo staff è gentile e disponibile, senza troppi fronzoli per un pasto veloce e tipico. Le pietanze sono arrivate in pochissimo tempo. Il menù viene esposto dal cameriere, ed è vario. Abbiamo trovato le pietanze mediamente buone e di qualità, anche se un pochino "tristi", in particolare i contorni ,come presentazione, inoltre le quantità non sono certamente abbondanti. Mi aspettavo qualcosina in più, ma nulla di tragico. Prezzi buoni.
