22/02/2026: We had lunch there twice in the same week in August, and both times we had a great time, both with the special local dishes and with Gigio's whole family. They're great people, and we'll gladly return!

07/02/2026: ..still a characteristic mountain restaurant with exposed woodwork and a central stube, serving nutritious and healthy cuisine. Young and friendly staff, excellent food, beautiful scenery, accessible from the cross-country ski trail, and plenty of parking. It has an indoor restroom and an outdoor duck pond...a real gem at the edge of the woods. The breakfasts and desserts are also interesting. I hope to return. Oh, and for spring and summer, the outdoor terrace is probably also available, but I've never been there during the warmer months or mid-season. It's always best to book, especially in winter.

18/02/2026: Everything was perfect, nothing to complain about. From the overnight stay in the chalet to dinner at the refuge. You can get there directly by car, and from there, various trails for hiking or sledding start. The food was excellent, like a real restaurant.

02/03/2026: Definitely the best pizza in Falcade! I highly recommend this place, been there twice during my 1-week holidays in Falcade. Great vibe inside and very friendful, nice, young stuff with good English.

27/02/2026: Here's the thing: you arrive in a group, and you need to feed the pack. Given the local culture, the first thing that came to mind was pizza. So we stopped at Pizzeria La Stua, and the result was disappointing. A 2.5-hour wait (on a Monday) for six pizzas we were going to pick up to go! What on earth possessed you? The pizza boxes were dripping with unappetizing grease, which completely covered the back seat of my friend's car. We were in stitches at the state of the pizzas, with mushrooms that looked like they were trying to start a family, and oil everywhere, dripping like volcanic lava. They definitely need to improve the quality of their food. Okay, maybe it was just an off day, hence my average rating. Maybe I'll get revenge?

07/03/2026: I’ve been coming to La Montanara since I was a child. For years and years—decades, really—the quality of the food and service has never dropped, not even by a single notch. They serve the absolute best pizza, full stop. Their dessert selection is consistently outstanding too. The food is always brought to you by the kindest, most genuine, and loveliest people, and the overall vibe is just beautiful. As long as this restaurant stays open, I’ll be coming back for their pizza for the rest of my life.

23/02/2026: Friendly staff, clean environment, and the pizza we had for dinner was good; it didn't result in a night spent hanging out on the tap, so all in all, I'd say it was all good! It's a place I'd return to, and try the food as well, not just the pizza. I should add that for two out of three dinners during our short vacation, we chose "pretentious" restaurants that absolutely didn't live up to their promises. This place, however, is a mid-range establishment that does its job very well at absolutely fair prices.

05/10/2025: Yesterday, my husband and I went up to the cabin for the first time. First of all, there's free parking for a camper, which is a big plus. The path and road are a bit steep. It's worth the effort to reach a wonderful place where you feel at home. The owners' hospitality is like family, and the chef prepares simple dishes made with love. I recommend checking them out; we'll be back.
