Last night, we visited the Gente di Mare restaurant in Lido di Jesolo for the first time as tourists with our family.
Unfortunately, we were disappointed with our visit. The service was unfriendly and inattentive. One of the servers even spilled a drink down my back. I responded politely and said that such things can happen.
When it came time to pay, we were surprised to find an additional €3.30 per person charged for the cover charge (cutlery and seating). As tourists, we were unaware of this, and no one had informed us beforehand. Even more unpleasant was the fact that this was explained to us in an unfriendly tone in front of all the other guests.
I understand that many restaurants in Italy charge a cover charge ("coperto"). Nevertheless, this should be explained politely and transparently – especially to tourists.
Due to the poor service and the overall experience, we unfortunately cannot recommend this restaurant.

23/09/2025: The best ice cream shop ever, and not just in Jesolo!!
I've tried many ice cream shops because in the summer, no one can take away my six scoops of gelato on Sundays!
Delicious gelato, just the right amount of creaminess and not too sugary!
Ideal for those who love glazed flavors, as their egg flavor (gianduja with white icing) is phenomenal!
Cheesecake, regular pistachio, pistachio pesto, and almond gelato with pistachio icing...
As well as cremino, biscotti... and a few other delicious basic flavors!
The scoops aren't too big, but they're super high quality! Sometimes I go to Jesolo just for the gelato 😂

08/12/2025: The prices are sky-high for the quality of the food, and they're not very consistent. The menu isn't very clear on prices and descriptions. What surprises me is the 3.50 cover charge, not so much for us adults, but for the kids. A disgrace!

11/07/2026: I don't recommend it, we ordered grilled meat, it looked nice, but when we tasted it, it had no flavor... when we called the service, we were told that we had to salt and pepper it ourselves, and there was no salt and pepper available, only after being warned... the staff claimed that it was supposed to be that way and when they tasted it, they were also surprised, but of course they added everything to the bill even though we didn't eat anything. Simply a disaster.

Ristorante Pizzeria Pomodoro

23/09/2025: First of all, the pizza is excellent! Soft on the crust and flavorful on the dough. As for the toppings, the use of non-standard products and solutions is noteworthy: anchovies served in a tin to demonstrate their quality and origin, capers with their stems. Fresh and natural tomatoes (homegrown!) are used. The Neapolitan pizza is excellent. The beer is appropriate. Fast and courteous service. The atmosphere is pleasant and comfortable thanks to the space and the attention to detail. Prices are fair.
22/09/2025: Nice restaurant with good seating. We ordered two pizzas with wine and water. The house wine is highly recommended; it tasted very good. Both pizzas were also very good, especially the crust. I find the €2.50 caperto with nothing on it outrageous. The whole thing came to €46, which is still reasonable, but you can get cheaper pizza in Jesolo.

13/06/2026: Simply perfect! I've been going to Jesolo for four years now and come here to eat every year. The people are lovely, the service is friendly and attentive. The food is delicious, and the red wine is also very good. Highly recommended! 🍷😊

14/06/2026: Terrible food, frozen fish. The risotto, at €25 a portion, was overcooked and had very little fish. Terrible experience. The price was definitely not in line with the quality offered. Now I understand why the place was empty.

12/06/2026: Maybe it's better to move towards the center.... I absolutely don't recommend it...it's really sad.
08/06/2026: I ordered some pizzas to go.
To be honest, the kids' meal, pasta with ragu, was a bit overpriced.
The pizzas, however, were fantastic, especially the Frutti di Mare, which was a 10/10. It was so generously topped that I'd say it's seafood on a pizza.
It definitely brightened my day. Thanks to the chef!
