09/12/2025: Slow, slow, slow... half an hour for the appetizers, over 40 minutes for the main courses. And the final treat: we ordered a coffee after repeatedly prompting the waiter, and it was served at the counter while we were resignedly paying the bill, 20 minutes after ordering it... it seemed like they were doing it on purpose. Otherwise, the food was good, but what a service...

01/12/2025: I had a great time. The food was good and the portions generous. The meat was truly excellent. The host was friendly and the atmosphere welcoming. The prices were reasonable.

17/09/2025: We dropped in for breakfast, with coffee and croissants. I had the orange marmalade filled croissant which was delicious, and there was lots of marmalade in it. There was table service which was very quick. The food and coffee is well good value. The table is very quiet and it is easy to have a conversation.

01/01/2026: We booked and dined there for the first time (we had pizza). The overall impression was excellent, the place welcoming, and the service impeccable. The lady, presumably the owner, who welcomed us and provided part of the service, handled our table of eight very well. The pizza was very good and well-cooked. The music at times made conversation more challenging. Prices were reasonable.

18/01/2026: Today at lunch, a terrible experience! We ordered, and while I was waiting, I noticed they were bringing appetizers to the neighboring tables, but nothing for us. Then the dish I ordered arrived with a tiny piece of bread, like in wartime. It was ridiculous, with no oil cruet on the table, everything was served with an eyedropper... they pour you wine by the undersized glass. I mentioned it to the waiter, and he apologized, while the owner dismissed the incident as rude and unprofessional. Finally, the gentleman at the cash register—I think he's the owner, too—didn't even say hello. Prices were out of line!

01/02/2026: It's worth eating here for the location alone. Wonderful Neapolitan pizza and spectacular tagliolini with prosciutto and walnuts. Fair price.

08/01/2026: We stayed at the CastelBrando in August 2025, a small group of eight adults. Since we booked the hotel's breakfast and dinner package, our meals were at La Fucina, located inside the CastelBrando in the more modern wing. We were well attended to, although the service was sometimes a little slow, but as we were on vacation, this didn't spoil our experience. The menu could be more varied, as after three days I confess it became repetitive. Overall, we had good meals.

30/07/2025: Agree on the price of the dessert beforehand if you don't want to LOVE surprises later. I came in to order a meringue pie: the lady showed me a rectangular one "for 12 people." Displayed price: €33 I asked her if she could make a round one, and she said yes. "Perfect," I said, "but just to be safe, make it for 15 people." I thought three extra portions (3!) wouldn't have much of an impact on the price. Upon collection, the surprise: the price was €52!!! I asked for an explanation, since I couldn't believe that 12 portions cost €33 and three extra portions cost almost €20. The answer: "When it's round, the portions are more generous and the price is based on weight." So: go ahead (the "dessert" was good, no complaints about the quality), but AGREE ON THE PRICE NOW IF YOU DON'T WANT TO LOVE SURPRISES!!! It's a shame because I had good memories of this pastry shop.

29/12/2025: It's a shame that such a cute little place, with so many delicacies, and in a great location, is looked after by some sleepy waiters...! We had ordered two cappuccinos and a dessert from a guy before he showed us to the table: after 20 minutes, he comes back and asks us what we want! And the place wasn't even full! No comment!

21/12/2025: Nice place, there were five of us and we were very comfortable at the round table, the food was very good and well prepared, the service was very fast and kind.

28/11/2025: Okay, the food is good, but the owner is aggressive. It's recommended, since everyone else is friendly.
