18/03/2026: We were here on March 7, 2026, for this year's Burger Day. Great atmosphere with an ice bar, DJ, live music, and of course, plenty of delicious burgers. Part of the proceeds is donated to children's cancer charities, among other things. We hiked from the mountain station to the Mayrl-Alm via the alpine pasture trail in about 60 minutes.

10/12/2025: We stopped for lunch at this restaurant. The food was delicious, and the staff were extremely kind and helpful. Their courtesy is hard to find anywhere else, and they made everyone feel right at home.

31/01/2026: Beautiful alpine hut with friendly staff
23/12/2025: Contrary to the information on the website, the alpine pasture is closed! :(
Before our hike, we specifically checked the current opening hours of the Laab Alm several times. The website and numerous advertising boards stated that it was only closed on Mondays. Even the sign right in front of the door indicated this today. There was a light on, and we could hear voices and laughter coming from inside – but the door was locked! Two very friendly, shivering guests were sitting outside on a bench with their own provisions and told us they had knocked, but that cold drinks like beer and water were only available upon urgent request. No food or hot drinks were available. We had brought our own cold water – after the climb in the cold winter air, we had been really looking forward to a hot meal and a warm drink. So, we had no choice but to hike back down the mountain empty-handed. There, we stopped at one of the many very friendly and good restaurants in Deutschnofen, where we warmed up and enjoyed a good meal.
We therefore cannot recommend a hike with a stop at the Labalm.

02/03/2025: Durante la sciita in notturna mi sono fermato per cena: il servizio a buffet era chiuso, e dato che ero solo, non mi hanno permesso di accomodarmi ai tavoli del ristorante (mah...), quindi ho cenato al chiosco esterno con proposte rapide e take-away (comunque promosse). Al rientro al rifugio per un dolce, ho provato un tiramisù che era di fatto tutt'altra cosa. Prezzi superiori alla media. Bel locale ma in zona si trova di meglio.

30/12/2024: Dopo una passeggiata poco o affatto impegnativa, si raggiunge la baita e si rimane senza fiato per il sole che la bacia fino al pomeriggio e per il panorama sulle montagne. Le Stube al piano superiore molto belle e accoglienti. Personale cordiale, efficiente, professionale. Servizio veloce.
E vogliamo parlare del pranzo? Una tartar superba come la tagliata perfetta di ottima carne. E per finire un tiramisù all’arancia ottimo e abbondante. Vini all’altezza. Da tornare sicuramente.
16/09/2024: Camminata per andare al lago di Carezza. Per curiosità ci siamo fermati... Che buono! L'hamburger scomposto merita. Personale molto gentile e vista da favola. Torneremo.
