02/06/2025: This is clearly not a michelin table.
For anyone used to french michelin table (I'm not talking about stars or anything) please don't be fulled.
When a client is asking for a non alcoholic drink and the only thing you have to propose is sprits without proposing anything else when the client is not interested, this is not a michelin.
The menu is made of paper sheets, decorated with oil drops 👌 this is not a michelin.
The quality of the starters, well, there is no balance in the tastes, the salade is thrown in the plate the sauces are too acidic. For the plate, you don't put aluminium paper around a potato in a michelin table plate, nothing is neat, from the poor salad leaves that are lost in the plate, the stuffing is grossly cut, no balance in the tastes. This is really the level of an average braaserie you'll find in france, and that you'll forget about.
Let's skip the dessert cause it is of the same level really.
I was scared of another tourist trap, well I should have thought twice before going there.
23/05/2025: We had a wonderful lunch on Saturday, May 17th at Stornello: the dishes were excellent and refined, and the service impeccable.
The best part: Mimo's friendliness. The server, in addition to being cheerful and attentive to his customers, gave us ideas for visiting the beautiful town of Stresa. Thanks, Mimo.

16/05/2025: We arrived as a family of 6 adults. We drank cappuccinos, and ordered 2 types of pastries, and 2 flavors of sorbet. The coffee was excellent, the sorbet was really tasty, and so was one of the pastries. The other pastry was also good, but not exceptional. It was pleasant to sit there in the afternoon, and the service of the staff was great - they explained patiently, smiled, and were very polite.
09/05/2025: Caffè carissimo e che sapeva di legno bruciato. Posto anche carino ma non degno della tradizione italiana come qualità e servizio. Spellano i turisti

21/05/2025: We stopped at this restaurant after reading it was among the most recommended in Stresa, what can I say, it did not disappoint our expectations! Beautiful location, modern and well-kept... Excellent food, we tried both meat and fish dishes. The girl who served us at the table was very good
20/05/2025: If we exclude the fact that they served spaghetti instead of bavette, for the rest it must be said that the dishes are excellent. The atmosphere of the place, however, does not compete with others tried in Stresa where we found a much warmer and more attentive welcome. But what really clashes with the pretensions of the place, is the service offered by the improvised waitress girl. She should be reminded that before bringing the new dishes the previous ones must be removed, that the cutlery must be brought with a tray (or a napkin) and not by hand and that the wine by the glass must be presented and tasted and that there is a minimum quantity to pour, something that she evidently does not know. In essence, a pretentious place but not up to expectations. Prices slightly higher than average

Incuriosito dalle recensioni sono andato di proposito. Pistacchio che non sa di nulla, forse un accenno di nocciola.

24/08/2024: Me detuve aquí para un helado con amigos mientras estaba en Stresa. Fue aceptable, pero no genial. Hay mejor helado a precios más bajos en la zona. Para ser justos, las vistas del Lago Mayor que están cerca son geniales.

27/02/2025: Cibo eccellente e personale molto cordiale, gentile e professionale. Non sempre nei ristoranti in cui ci siamo recati nei nostri giri da freschi pensionati abbiamo trovato queste caratteristiche
11/01/2025: Posto carino, proprietari disponibili attività di famiglia tutti molto carini.. e disposti a soddisfare le nostre esigenze.
Sono stati calorosi, cibo molto buono.
Trovato posto anche senza prenotazione, e ci hanno servito subito e offerto l’ amaro.
