14/01/2025: We were in the area and went to see this magnificent place. The castle is private and can only be visited for special events. We went to visit the cellars anyway and have lunch at the 3 clocks. Everything was beautiful, very well looked after and attentive, helpful staff.. We would like to spend a night there soon. There are 12 rooms in the village medieval annexed to the castle. Worth visiting
01/01/2025: We’ve been fortunate enough to stay at many hotels located in castles over the years; it’s sort of our “thing” when traveling through western Europe. We can say, without a doubt, CdG ranks up there with the best.
Not “just one castle,” but a property encompassing its own medieval village, CdG, shines. The food is stellar, the surroundings are beautiful, and the hedge maze makes this a stand-out property.
