18/02/2024: 04/29/2023 . Elisa da Rongio refuge. I stopped for lunch on this trek from Rongio. Enviable position, beautiful, sunny refuge, I ate really well, friendly welcome, true and sincere compliments. Good portions and reasonable price. Directions to get there. Go above Mandello to Rongio, take the green Val Meria and go all the way up. First on the orographic left side to cross the stream as soon as you enter the valley on a small bridge, ending up on the opposite side. Here begins the path that immediately passes by the Grotta Ferrera or Acqua Bianca and the crossroads for the Gardata path. Then off to the very long valley between shrubs and broad-leaved forest. The last stretch passes under the imposing Sasso Cavallo and the lateral Sasso Carbonari, finally reaching the refuge surrounded by greenery on the coast that joins the Grigna and the Grignone, also called the high crossing. The small but comfortable refuge overlooks the panorama of the valley, after this long walk, well-deserved and good refreshment.

27/12/2023: Boxing Day 2023, to dispose of it we start directly from Mandello. Stop and exploration of the Ferrera cave, headband and good footwear required, about an hour. Better to read up first so you don't get lost. Climb to the Elisa refuge from the endless mule track, it never flattens out to the refuge, definitely an excellent workout. From the refuge you can take different itineraries, continue uphill or descend towards Gardata and Era

06/09/2023: It's a nice place to have breakfast or an aperitif, enjoying a baked product. Outdoor tables but also indoors. Informal place with a touch of passion for cycling.

02/04/2024: We stayed here for a night and it was a huge mistake! Should have stayed at least two nights in this lovely hotel. All the staff were so helpful and friendly and they keep on asking if we needed anything. Will definitely stay in this hotel again if ever we’ll get the chance to be back in lake como.

17/02/2024: Pizzeria principalmente da asporto ma con tavoli per consumare la pizza in loco. La pizza niente di speciale, non vi aspettate una pizza napoletana, molto lontana. Ambiente surreale, il cameriere ci ha chiesto se volevamo le posate 🙄. Buono per un pasto veloce e senza pretese.

02/04/2024: We decided to have Easter lunch with the family, the atmosphere was already a bit retro at first glance... We started with a small, somewhat bare aperitif. Once we sat down at the table, they brought us the appetizers which were unfortunately cold and had small portions, the meat was tough. We wait for the dessert and give at least the chance to change our minds and instead we are brought a frozen Sicilian cannoli... Really a shame because the location of the restaurant is very beautiful... I don't think I will return to this place

02/03/2024: Run away from this pizzeria, three of us were charged €40 for 3 pizzas. None of us ate and no one asked us why. They only thought about cashing in and they don't care if people send their dishes back without eating. If you want to eat pizza, don't go to this place at all. Unprofessional people... a pizza with artichokes, 1 pizza with salami and tuna, a pizza with squid = 38.50. Service 0 I give a star because it starts from one but it deserves ZERO

06/04/2024: Disaster. I went with my family at 10.30pm on Saturday 06/04. My children asked for a milkshake, and were denied because they ran out of milk. Subsequently, my partner ordered a coffee, which was also refused because the car had already been washed, according to them because it was close to closing time, while the timetable displayed says 11.30pm, I wonder if an hour before closing time I does not have the right to have the same service that one has at any time of the day, following our clarification on the times the coffee was made, my partner deliberately asked for a macchiato and ironically the milk appeared! To make sure we didn't miss anything, the addedda locked one of the two doors, forcing everyone to use only one of the two, and second irony of fate, exactly the opposite of the one I should have used to reach the other part of my family . The staff's justification was "our boss didn't warn us, we're leaving next week to close at 11.30pm" Despite this, even if it were true half an hour before closing I would expect a complete service

01/04/2024: If I have to be honest, ice cream didn't make me crazy. The flavors I took didn't taste like much, I also tried to taste my partner's but his didn't taste like anything either and the cone was also hard and dry.. Very nice location, shame about the unqualified staff who don't know how to make cones, and above all about the girl at the cash desk, who had such a rude manner that at times, it seemed like we had disturbed her from the moment she welcomed us while she was eating ice cream on the counter. I know the Grom ice cream shop well and their flavors are usually very good, but in this store it wasn't exactly a good experience.. Sin..
