13/01/2025: Beautiful place, one of the most beautiful in Castellammare di Stabia. The design is refined, with furnishings made with high quality materials: refined and elegant chairs, stools and tables. In the part furthest from the counter, more intimate corners have been created, with sofas and armchairs. The two counters (the first at the entrance and the second in the room) are the first elements your gaze falls on: spectacular, beautiful to look at, as well as functional, well organized and above all immaculate. The lighting is dosed in the different areas: softer in some points, stronger in others. And then there is the ceiling, an art gallery where the eyes of the characters in the paintings (copies of famous paintings, such as Caravaggio's Bacchus) observe you from above.

13/01/2025: A lounge in the center of Cmmare for an aperitif or even a dinner with friends, a refined venue, excellent drinks, quality food and professionalism: recommended.

15/02/2025: I had the pleasure of dining at the Don Mimi Restaurant yesterday on Valentine's Day, and I must say that the experience was exceptional. The restaurant was beautifully decorated for the occasion, creating a romantic and welcoming atmosphere. The waiters were very kind and attentive, always ready to satisfy our every need. They demonstrated professionalism and an infectious smile, making us feel at ease from start to finish. Dinner was delicious! Each dish was carefully prepared and creatively presented. The flavors were authentic and well balanced, making every bite a pleasure. I highly recommend trying to dine at the don mimi restaurant, not only for the excellent food, but also for the impeccable service and lovely atmosphere. I can't wait to go back!

15/02/2025: Yesterday February 14, 2025...Nightmare experience. I made a reservation a few days ago and took this restaurant for 60 euros per person per day, obviously on Valentine's Day, when I arrived.....you have to wait, there were other reservations that were due for a long time....be careful if you don't have enough tables, don't accept reservations. there were people who work like me, I act like a gentleman to all the customers, I behave very well with everyone to expect that after a stressful working day you tell me I have to wait but stay out of your mind. do you know what I did? I left...everyone had to do it like this, unfortunately people are used to being subjected to this, but not me. afterwards I went to a much, much better restaurant in Vico with a stupendous view for less money. you are truly sorry

04/12/2024: I am writing this review as a regular customer who has seen the quality of service and products drop significantly. Two times out of three I get the wrong sandwich, so I have to wait twice, the wait is considerable even though the room is empty. The sandwich is made without love, with piled-up ingredients, burnt meat, sometimes raw, a paltry side dish in quantity (you can't put a forkful of broccoli in a sandwich costing 7 euros or more), therefore an essentially empty sandwich, with a plasticky bun, really bad. Waiting time for this goodness: 45 minutes (only order in the room). It's not (dubious) friendliness that rules a place.

23/09/2024: VESEVIUS is a small but modern structure set on the promontory of Castellammare which looks out over the Gulf of Naples thus offering a splendid panorama from its terrace, unfortunately only ruined by the Fincantieri shipyard below. Service staff with discreet professionalism and appreciable courtesy. The courses offered à la carte, however, are barely sufficient: we, introduced to the taste by a small plate of zeppoline offered by the house, initially choose a seafood appetizer and two different risottos as a first course. The impact is not extraordinary: products and raw materials appear only acceptable; the dishes consequently, in our singular experience, lacking in any peculiar and promised flavor and never capable of proliferating taste emotions and which, therefore, do not invite an encore, much less a continuation, despite a decent execution with the "Risotto with turbot and pistachio". The chef's choice, however, is disruptive and presents a "fisherman's risotto" filled with sauce and cherry tomatoes, thus debasing, as well as tradition, every flavor and aftertaste of the sea, even more so with an unacceptable and excessive use of salt which leaves the writer's palate undaunted inhibiting any continuation. The wine list speaks for itself: just one glass of white is enough to discover its Discountian origins! Service Notes: mise en place limited to napkin and cutlery rest; access from the car park below is difficult and unpopular with those who fear "climbing"; prices not very low especially in relation to the overall offer; P.S. At the reception they hold the car keys: perhaps they fear that someone will escape prematurely? Stuff you wouldn't believe!

22/09/2024: Quality of food good, average I'd say for being in the south! Not enough fish and too much oil as a condiment, I would do the opposite since we are talking about fish cuisine. Perfect fried! When paying, they didn't respect the fork discount percentage perfectly, in fact they didn't give me the receipt with the related discounts... It doesn't matter, but more professionalism is needed!
