04/10/2024: arrivando a gerace, chiediamo a due signori un luogo dove poter mangiare un gelato artigianale, e subito ci viene consigliato il “bar dolce e salato” dove dicono che sia il miglior gelato di gerace, arriviamo al bar e il titolare molto simpatico ci fa assaggiare pistacchio salato e zafferano, gelato FAVOLOSO, penso sia uno dei migliori gelati che io abbia mai assaggiato, prezzo molto onesto due coni 5 euro, per l’altissima qualita del gelato è veramente un prezzo molto onesto, vi consiglio vivamente questo posto.

23/04/2025: Seldom eaten as well as here at L'Angolo in Melito di Porto Salvo. A feast for the senses. Great ingredients, a large selection of local specialties, fast and hospitable service and reasonable prices - everything was right here. If we are back in the south, we will definitely come back. The place is an insider tip. Beautiful. If you are in Reggio di Calabria, you should definitely take a day trip here. Grazie Mille

11/05/2025: I have known this lovely restaurant for some time and have spent several special occasions with my family! Chosen for the authenticity of the food and the staff: you feel at home! Excellent and varied menu, typical Calabrian dishes divinely prepared! I go back every year when I return home for the holidays and it is always a confirmation! The staff were friendly and super helpful for any request! From their service it is evident the love they put into it and the constant commitment to making the service impeccable! Well done guys, keep it up! Super recommended

12/05/2025: Well known place in the city. At the cocktail counter you will find two professional figures certified by the Martini school. The cocktail menu is constantly evolving and very original. Also recommended for a simple but good aperitif with friends. If you are undecided on what to have, let the barmen advise you. Large selection of alcohol.

24/05/2025: Suggestive restaurant on the seafront with a large terrace overlooking the strait and a splendid view of Sicily. The place is sober and well furnished. The fish is very fresh and the wine list is also excellent. We started with a rich appetizer of seafood crudites with shellfish, tartare, oysters. Followed by a trio of swordfish, tuna, octopus rolls. Good choice of desserts, but we stuck to the traditional Pizzo truffle. The very kind and professional waiter who looked after us throughout the evening recommended a bottle of local white wine, very fragrant and fruity. Furthermore, in addition to having shown us the various courses, he also let us taste two delicious bitters, also from Reggio. We spent a lovely evening and the price is also excellent (110€ for two). The only flaw was the carelessness of the waiter who took the order (different from the one who served us) who literally ignored us even though he had seen us and took the order of another large table that had arrived much later than us. However, apart from this inconvenience, we will return.

20/05/2025: Nice seafood restaurant located on the sea, with an outdoor terrace and an internal room entirely made of glass. Excellent dishes and excellent wines. The service is good, even if a little uneven; we were served by two waiters: one very attentive and professional, the other a little less so (he needs to do a little)

28/12/2024: We are currently on holiday at the Jonio Blu campsite in Bianco and ordered from Grillo's today. That was a very good decision. The food is great and everything was delicious. The delivery to the campsite worked great. We simply picked up the order at the entrance. We will definitely order here again and also have breakfast once. We have never had better food here in Italy.

05/05/2025: I went to this tavern for Easter lunch. The place is very rustic and not entirely comfortable but the food is quality. I must say that the various dishes I tasted, although simple, were of a good standard, tasty and well cooked. Some discordances on the desserts and on the service which had some errors. Overall I am satisfied. To try outside the holidays

Spaghetti with exceptional clams The waiter Michael and the chef Nicola made us feel at home....and we are now regular customers. Furthermore, my husband is vegetarian and there are always proposals for him and I thank you! We eat with a sea view....large and bright room with sea view. In front of the beach. excellent service. Excellent value for money. Parking in the area and in front. Highly recommended!

Negative experience with the waiter, unfortunately very out of place, we were in a group and when I asked to order the second course, bored he approached and began with a "ma'am and if you have ordinary dinners come on, ca eu mi ndi vaiu" strictly in dialect with the haste of doing I don't know what and without delicacy, needless to say that I didn't even ask him for a bottle of water but I turned to the rest of the staff who were very kind and with manners unique, certainly more polite than their colleague, beyond this parenthesis, everything is very good and the owners very friendly.

10/05/2025: Excellent quality, superlative with a good cellar, the thing that guarantees you the freshness of the fish is the diversity, you practically can't find the same things, Excellent, to come back.

04/05/2025: Siamo andati su suggerimento del gestore del B&B e ci siamo trovati veramente bene. Servizio accuratissimo e molto cortese, porzioni abbondanti e cibo molto gustoso. In 4 abbiamo pagato 101 €...veramente conveniente.
