19/01/2025: After a few attempts I managed to book for a lunch with friends. Beautiful location, rustic but welcoming. Good service, friendly staff and owners who are a pleasure to chat with. They offer a fixed menu with seasonal products, and I must say that at the end of the long lunch we all woke up satisfied with the quality and quantity. Don't miss the baked potatoes with onion and cream cheese, and the Aspromontana beans. The first ones are excellent. In general above what is expected from a typical restaurant. Adequate price. I will definitely go back.

04/10/2024: arrivando a gerace, chiediamo a due signori un luogo dove poter mangiare un gelato artigianale, e subito ci viene consigliato il “bar dolce e salato” dove dicono che sia il miglior gelato di gerace, arriviamo al bar e il titolare molto simpatico ci fa assaggiare pistacchio salato e zafferano, gelato FAVOLOSO, penso sia uno dei migliori gelati che io abbia mai assaggiato, prezzo molto onesto due coni 5 euro, per l’altissima qualita del gelato è veramente un prezzo molto onesto, vi consiglio vivamente questo posto.

04/10/2024: arriving in Gerace, we ask two gentlemen for a place where we can eat homemade ice cream, and we are immediately recommended the "sweet and savory bar" where they say it is the best ice cream in Gerace, we arrive at the bar and the very nice owner lets us taste it salted pistachio and saffron, FABULOUS ice cream, I think it is one of the best ice creams I have ever tasted, very honest price for two cones 5 euros, for the very high quality of the ice cream it is truly a very honest price, I highly recommend this place.

28/12/2024: We are currently on holiday at the Jonio Blu campsite in Bianco and ordered from Grillo's today. That was a very good decision. The food is great and everything was delicious. The delivery to the campsite worked great. We simply picked up the order at the entrance. We will definitely order here again and also have breakfast once. We have never had better food here in Italy.

06/01/2025: I'm very sorry because the lady is really very kind and polite. Despite this I must admit that the food did not meet my expectations. Decent homemade starter but I was very disappointed by the macaroni with goat sauce. It was absolutely tasteless as was the salted ricotta, it felt like eating plain pasta. We will return because it will certainly have been a bad day.

26/12/2024: Bel posto, servizio gentile e cortese ma a malincuore devo ammettere di essere rimasto deluso. Antipasto casereccio tutto sommato gradevole ma nulla da ricordare, piuttosto commerciale, ho sentito poca qualità. La trippa e la parmigiana erano discrete. Maccheroni con sugo di capra insapore, immagino fosse congelato. Ricotta salata dal gusto inesistente. Meglio non proporli piuttosto. Sicuramente è stato una giornata sfortunata, viste le tante recensioni positive.

03/09/2024: Quando si suol dire: "la sua fama lo precede!". Ho speso, male, in altri ristoranti per del pesce spacciato per fresco e piccole porzioni, come fosse cibo gourmet!!! In realtà, dietro l'angolo, questo ristorante serviva piatti abbondanti di pesce a km zero. Dal mare alla tavola ho avuto il piacere di gustare un secondo di tonno eccellente, certo non camuffato da sapori inutili ma cucinato in modo semplice e genuino. Porzione abbondantissima e cortesia infinita del personale, prezzi onesti. Questi ristoratori vanno premiati, esaltati, per come trattano onestamente i clienti, per l'amore per il loro lavoro. Chi ha lavorato come cameriere mi ha riferito di un'attenta cura e pulizia di cucina e locale che, quale ultimo aspetto, non per ordine d'importanza, conferisce lustro a questo posto. Non posso che spendere belle parole, grazie e a presto.
