The Kaiserschmarren (sweet pancakes) was incredibly delicious.

09/10/2025: I went there based on good reviews, I wanted to try Tiroler grill plate, kind of trying a local dish and something new
I asked the waitress if Tiroler grill plate is too much for one person but she advised that the dish is just “enough for one person ” and not to mention the taste for the most part was ok
When I got the plate, I was surprised with the amount of food which was way too much for one person
I didn’t enjoy the food and this felt like given I am not from the area so the waitress tried to give me a horrible advice? Or just selling something more expensive? What’s the point of asking for an advice if people don’t get the right answer? Because if she had mentioned that yes the plate is too mush for one person then I was thinking to order something else

06/09/2025: Today I hiked from the Val parking lot to the alpine hut and ate some delicious cake. Best ever🥧
04/09/2025: A small mountain hut located in a beautiful valley, accessible via an easy forest road, about an hour's walk from Malga Fane. The owners are very friendly and prepared excellent dishes for us; I recommend trying the Kaiserschmarren. Definitely worth trying again.

11/10/2025: For us, one of the most beautiful places in the Alps. A cozy alpine hut with truly delicious food, unobtrusive, friendly service, a fantastic panoramic view, and reasonable prices. It couldn't be better. A best place to be.
02/10/2025: Culinary delights of the finest quality, served by highly motivated staff, both inside and outside the hut, enhanced by a magnificent view of the mountains.

31/07/2025: Ristorante, pizzeria consigliatissimo. Si trova vicino la cabinovia di Jochtal, ampio parcheggio, servizio veloce, sale ampie e in stile tirolese. Menù tirolese, ottima birra. Giochi esterni per bambini.
26/07/2025: Siamo a Valles per il raduno estivo del Bologna F.C. Decidiamo di mangiare qui (non ci sono molte alternative vicino al campo di allenamento). Personale veloce e simpatico. Pizza eccellente, un po’ meno i primi. Non abbiamo mangiato secondi per cui non posso esprimere giudizi. Dolci ok, ma un po’ cari. Birra buona e rapporto qualità prezzo molto buono, birra media a 5€. Un posto in cui non si rimane delusi. Consigliato!

24/07/2025: For me, who knew the old Jochtal, it was a surprise. It's a complete change from the previous one. An excellent base in both summer and winter. Everything was very good, but also too standardized.

17/06/2025: Quando vedrete cartelli o volantini pubblicitari affermare che dalla stazione a monte della ovovia si arriva alla baita in un quarto d'ora di camminata comoda (anche col passeggino) sappiate che in realtà c'è una bella salita da fare che ti taglia le gambe e che la stradina non è sempre ben battuta e le ruote del passeggino spesso si incastreranno nei sassi sporgenti o nelle canaline di scolo della pioggia. La fatica sarà ricompensata da una baita alpina con vista spettacolare, cucina curata e ben fornita, birre top e servizio veloce e cortese. Canederli super!

08/01/2025: Lugar acogedor con un servicio súper rápido. Algunos platos tal vez son caros (diminuta ensalada ... ) pero en general agradable. Yo volvería
05/01/2025: El viernes pasado, ya estaba oscuro y helado. Nuestro hijo se había perdido en la montaña con su tabla de snowboard y ya no tenía señal. Llegamos a este bonito lugar remoto cuando la carretera estaba bloqueada por la nieve y no pudimos continuar nuestra búsqueda, así que entramos y pedimos ayuda. El anfitrión nos ofreció inmediatamente para buscar a nuestro hijo con su gato de nieve... Cuando regresó tenía al joven con él, que estaba totalmente en shock y lleno de sangre y contusiones. El anfitrión realmente ha salvado la vida del niño y siempre estaremos muy agradecidos por eso.

04/03/2025: Essendo celiaci, avevamo con noi un micro-panino gluten-free,
non penso loro ne avessero..., ma poi avremmo preso sul posto acqua, e due caffè.
Siamo stati invitati ad alzarci ed andare via, nonostante le panche esterne fossero quasi tutte vuote. Che dire, una gestione deplorevole!
(Obiettivamente abbiamo trovato altrove accoglienza, cortesia e rispetto).

Essen top, Bedienung top. Einfach angenehm. Klein aber fein und weg vom Rummel.

Wir waren hier schonmal vor einem Jahr und sind wieder begeistert. Die Makkaroni, das Tris, der Krautsalat und die Germknödel, alles super lecker.

31/08/2024: Una bella passeggiata in Valle di Altafossa tra scenari meravigliosi e il rumore del ruscello che ti accompagna lungo tutto il cammino, c’è la possibilità di fare il percorso Kneipp con le varie stazioni. Alla fine si giunge a questo rifugio, spettacolare a dir poco, dove ci si può riposare, far giocare i bambini e mangiare piatti gustosi. Che dire la passeggiata ne vale la pena.
11/07/2024: Malga meravigliosa, un angolo incantato perfetto per tutti in particolare per le famiglie con bimbi. Il miglior angolo in Alto Adige dove mangiare benissimo e gustare tutte le specialità tirolesi con cortesia e qualità . La miglior carne alla griglia mai mangiata . Di domenica a luglio e sempre ad agosto . Parco giochi stupendo , consigliatissimo
