16/10/2025: We spent three days in Burgstall
And three days at the Etschgrund for dinner. The food was excellent all three days. We received a very friendly welcome upon entry. Most restaurants could learn a thing or two from the friendliness of the waitress and the manager.

Rigati all'arrabbiata? Anything but arrabbiata, but al dente nonetheless.
The "mixed salad": green salad with sand between your teeth, four fagioli verdi, and canned corn...
The black plate looks classy, but belies the lack of passion in the kitchen.
The large sun terrace lacks cushioned seating; they're probably only available upon request.
Tourists, cyclists, and workers are constantly queuing here, it's just a shame that the food falls by the wayside...
Conclusion: Beautiful place, friendly service, but there's plenty of room for improvement in the culinary department... 🚲🚲🚲 Only 3 out of 5

22/09/2025: A nice little café. The coffee and cake were delicious. However, my slice of cake was extremely thin, while my husband's was okay. Unfortunately, the lady only ate the armpit.
12/09/2025: Excellent pastry shop with a small parking lot.
The only flaw is that they have a coffee machine that doesn't make the best coffee.
There's no cover charge.

16/04/2025: Die Pizzen waren gut und die Pizzabäcker nett. Die Bedienung war meiner Frau gegenüber grundlos unhöflich. Wir weden nicht wieder kommen
07/03/2025: Ambiente piccolo, molto molto chiassoso, pizza piccola, impasto sottile e poco cotto, prezzo elevato.
Attesa di oltre 45 minuti alle 19, su 6 pizze una non è nemmeno arrivata, nessuno dei camerieri se ne è preoccupato, dopo un ulteriore sollecito è arrivata subito ma non era all'altezza delle aspettative.
Non ci tornerò.

17/10/2025: This is what a Buschenschank (wine tavern) should be like. Delicious, down-to-earth, and rustic ambiance with a magnificent view of Merano. And above all, friendly people and fair prices! Stay here. A great break right on the Waalweg (Waal Path), which, by the way, is a lovely walk! Thank you very much!

16/01/2024: Siamo stati io e mia moglie a cena per il suo compleanno. Esperienza meravigliosa! Chi ama la carne deve provarlo. Wagyu giapponese e dell'Alto Adige in mille modi: come patè, prosciutto, salame, ripieno dei canederli, sugo per gli spaghetti e secondo alla brace. Servizio premuroso e competente, carta vini molto profonda.
