07/01/2026: Absolutely love Marxnkeller. We discovered this tucked-away gem about three years ago, and it has since become our favorite pizzeria and restaurant during our ski trips to Obereggen. Max, the owner and chef, is incredibly accommodating and friendly, and his food is consistently outstanding. It is always the first choice for my children when they are asked where they want to eat. On our first visit, we tried the traditional South Tyrolean Schlutzkrapfen, a type of ravioli made with rye and spelt flour and filled with spinach and ricotta, served in the most delicious browned butter and sage sauce. It quickly became our favorite dish, and the chef even shared the authentic recipe with us so we could make it at home. It is still one of our favorite family meals. Unfortunately, this dish is not on the menu anymore, but everything else tastes just as good. We are always excited to return to Marxnkeller, and I recommend it with great pleasure. Definitely reserve a table in advance.

13/01/2026: The location is beautiful, right in the middle of the slopes and nestled in a valley sheltered from the wind and sun. Plenty of seating inside and out. The food, in my opinion, was good, but no better than other places in the area. A bit pricey compared to others: we paid €30 each for two cordon bleu with fries, a spritz, and two coffees.

08/12/2025: This place has been a firm favourite for years! The atmosphere is spacious, yet quaint and warm. The waiters and kitchen are very efficient, and the food is varied and delicious, including the excellent pizzas! The prices are equally satisfying! Highly recommended!

05/10/2025: We were spontaneously rebooked into this hotel after needing a last-minute overnight stay on our return journey. Luckily for us, it was a 4-star hotel. Both inside and out, the hotel impressed us with a perfect blend of comfort and warmth, as well as modernity and cleanliness. We were given a cute room with three beds, all of which were perfectly located. Early in the morning, we were even allowed to use the spa area on the first floor, which was truly fantastic. I have never seen such a beautifully designed area. Someone had really put a lot of thought into it. We received a warmer welcome at breakfast than we have ever received. The staff member acted more like a friend and knew all the guests by name. We felt wonderfully well looked after and were treated with healthy drinks, Bavarian sausages, and great attention. There is a huge selection: gluten-free products, oat milk and lactose-free milk, five different juices, eggs boiled for 5, 7, or 10 minutes, or scrambled. Everyone received a sheet with the latest information on the program, weather, news... We were absolutely thrilled. A very inviting, luxurious hotel, which is definitely a great place to stay in winter, especially when combined with skiing. We also really enjoyed the beautiful view of the surrounding forest! Parking was also available directly at the hotel :)

27/08/2025: A very nice hotel with a superb location on the edge of the village with direct access to the mountains. Very friendly, attentive staff; you can tell it's owner-managed. The evening menus are a dream! The price is quite high, but you get the corresponding quality. We'll be back as soon as we can!

16/01/2026: Excellent hotel for a ski holiday with direct access to the slopes. Very friendly and courteous staff. Ski rental service available with on-site delivery/pickup. Spa and relaxation area well-maintained. Half-board service with delicious dishes and attention to any allergies. Quiet location and beautiful mountain views. Parking available. Excellent experience, we will gladly return.

11/01/2026: A 6-day stay from December 20 to 26, 2025: 2 adults, 2 children aged 15 and 9. The location is perfect for skiers like us: from the ski room, a very short climb takes you directly to the adjacent slope (skiing and sledding) and the Brunoland practice slope. With plenty of snow, a small cut could save you the climb. Our room (a Star-style room) was spacious and comfortable, with an adequate bathroom. It's a shame about the dead space due to its location under the roof. The spacious terrace overlooks the slopes. The staff is friendly, competent, and helpful. The half-board option included a generous breakfast that satisfied everyone. I was pleasantly surprised by the evening menu: varied and of high quality. Traditional fare is served, but with a touch of creativity that doesn't clash, but rather enhances. Portions are in line with the category, ensuring fullness and satisfaction. For those expecting trucker-sized portions, go to a trucker-style restaurant. The dining room staff, as well as the bar staff, are helpful, quick, and efficient. The relaxation area is very nice, featuring three pools with different temperatures (standard, whirlpool, and for small children), a small but well-organized spa (for guests over 14), and a gym (a real gem). A playroom for children and a room with billiards and darts round out the amenities. The areas I think could be improved are: Wi-Fi in the furthest rooms (weak and unreliable), worn bathrobes, and a games room that could use some updating. Overall, we had a great time, and all the staff were professional and helpful. A special thanks to Mr. Luigi, a guardian angel for all the hotel guests, always present and available. I recommend it.

08/01/2026: Dinner in a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere with the kids: delicious, light pizzas, a delicious carrot and ginger cream with shrimp tails, and an interesting pairing. The sautéed potatoes were very good. The wait staff was very friendly and accommodating with small children. The only downside to the space: the table at the entrance was a bit chilly.

28/12/2025: Highly recommended! Lovely team, great service, excellent food, exceptionally clean rooms, comfortable beds, free shuttles to the ski slopes, and a breakfast that leaves nothing to be desired. I'm very curious to see what it will be like next year after the renovations. We certainly felt more than comfortable and would love to come back!

28/12/2025: We've just returned from a wonderful Christmas week. We and our three children had a fantastic time. The hotel staff, from reception to service staff, housekeeping, and the shuttle drivers, were incredibly welcoming. The food was excellent, leaving nothing to be desired. The children loved being able to try everything in reasonable portions and not having to limit themselves to the children's menu. We also really enjoyed the ski area. We hardly ever had to wait in line for the lifts, the slopes were in top condition, and usually quite empty. Early morning skiing with the snowcat ride up to the Ganischgeralm was a special experience. The children are still raving about it. A real luxury is that meals at the two mountain huts are included, and you can even charge drinks to your room. The fact that the hotel isn't directly on the slopes isn't a problem at all thanks to the excellent shuttle service. We'd love to come back and are looking forward to the upcoming improvements!

10/09/2025: We ended up here quite spontaneously when we extended our vacation in South Tyrol. We felt very comfortable from the very beginning. You can feel the passion of the whole family. The housekeeper was very nice and made our son's towels into different shapes, like animals, etc. every day. High praise also for the kitchen! The food was excellent. We would love to come back.

10/12/2025: We stopped for lunch at this restaurant. The food was delicious, and the staff were extremely kind and helpful. Their courtesy is hard to find anywhere else, and they made everyone feel right at home.

08/09/2025: In our opinion, this is the most beautiful and cozy hut in the Latemar, with a wonderful view of the mountains near and far. The Kaiserschmarn (sweet pancake) is highly recommended! I wanted to visit the hut a second time and had ignored all the others. Unfortunately, the opening hours on Google don't match – it was closed on Mondays. Hence, one star less.

07/09/2025: A cozy hut with a loving host family, already in the next generation. Not as crowded as Oberholz or Mayerl Alm. We felt very comfortable and were lucky, as today is the last day for now until the ski season starts on December 4th. We'd love to come back next year!

17/01/2026: This is our second year back. We've found a guy who works here who really makes it stand out. Everyone's great, though, and the food is delicious and plentiful.

15/01/2026: Cafeteria food at restaurant prices. Very noisy, and both the restaurant and the bathrooms are very dirty. Receipts at the outdoor bar are apparently optional...
