28/09/2025: We fell in love with the location and the two owners, Thomas and Raniero, who are both professionals. I'm leaving this review especially for you, future spouses. At Amici del Colle, we found professionalism and attention to detail for our wedding day. They helped us with everything and made us happy!
Large, fenced parking lot with the option of leaving your car overnight, as they have a shuttle service that takes you to your booked hotel and picks you up in the morning. At our wedding, we had several vintage cars and were worried about how to reassure the owners of these cars, but Amici del Colle put our minds at ease by placing a valet at the entrance who helped with the various maneuvers for all the guests.
They also recommended other vendors because we weren't from the area; they were all excellent and knowledgeable. We didn't have a wedding planner, so we were a little worried about the table settings. We asked Raniero how we wanted them, and he was EXCELLENT at setting up the tables just the way I liked them. Let's talk about the food: WE MADE A GREAT IMPRESSION!! All the guests complimented us on how well they ate. We had made an unusual request for a wedding: we wanted beer instead of wine, and not only did they accommodate our request, but we also had a choice of three delicious craft beers.
I didn't even have to worry about the cake; they took care of it, and it was one of the best I've ever had at a wedding.
Let's talk about the location: beautiful, well-kept, clean, and, above all, with a plan A if it's sunny, and a plan B if it rains.
I'll conclude by talking about the prices: in our opinion, given the quality of the food, the beauty of the location, and the fact that they took away any problems and worries, we paid a fair price and were happy. Also, because the complex provided the wedding cake, the shuttle service, and we, the newlyweds, received a complimentary hotel room. So, young future spouses, we strongly recommend you consider this location for your big day, because from experience, we can tell you that ours was wonderful and unique.

Ristorante Villa Sermolli

17/10/2025: Villa Sermolli has incredible charm. Built on a hillside, it features numerous stairs and corners inside, making it a real adventure to get from point A to point B. Stunning views, stunning ceiling paintings, an old cooking area with an open fireplace, an old bread oven... to name just a few highlights.
The breakfast was delicious, and when the temperature permits, there's a lovely garden for breakfast outdoors.
Our room was very spacious, and the bathroom was also larger than average.
Everyone was very nice, and we received a very warm welcome. Thank you for the wonderful time we were able to spend here.
07/10/2025: Beautifully located hotel.Veru authentic feeling decor. Has a full breakfast buffet with espresso and excellent croissants.

19/10/2025: On this beautiful sunny day, we took a tour and stopped in Buggiano Castello...then for lunch we came to this restaurant...a stunning panoramic view...rustic and well-kept atmosphere...traditional Tuscan dishes with a slightly revisited twist...friendly service with extreme kindness in serving the dishes...well-combined and tasty dishes...the fillet I ate was cooked to perfection...prices are average for the area...definitely worth trying...we'll be back...

07/09/2025: Wow! Just WOW! We stayed here for 5 nights for a part of our 5 week honeymoon in Europe. This was genuinely a highlight of our trip so far. The room was clean, and as advertised. Everyone there was so kind and attentive. We hope we get to come back one day soon. Having travelled all the way from Australia we were so grateful to find a peaceful hideaway where we could get to other spots for day trips either via our hire car, or public transport not far away. Thank you again!
18/07/2025: I have one rule: I never return to the same place. This rule no longer applies. I've been there twice already, and I'd gladly go back, and more than once. A fabulous place, rest, regeneration, and a recharge unlike any other place I've been. A wonderful place with fantastic and welcoming owners. The pool is large, sometimes you're alone, the breakfast is delicious, and the restaurant serves delicious dinners. The view is breathtaking, and the space is so relaxing. I'll definitely be back again, and I already miss it.

05/08/2025: Embarrassing service. I spoke to the pizza chef on the phone and asked if I could bring a bottle of sparkling wine, and he told me that it wasn't possible and that their bottles were available. He served a bottle to the table without an aluminum cap, so it was practically already opened, and when I asked the pizza chef, he said that it would have to be paid for, even though the misunderstanding was his. After less than 10 seconds, he started yelling at my sister and the rest of the group (there were 9 of us) and verbally abusing us. He threatened to call the police after the alcohol and pizzas had already been paid for. He rudely kicked us out of the place and continued to insult a friend of mine, who was TOTALLY not recommended, and to top it all, the pizzas were burnt, like many other times I've been here. I've been here several times and I'm completely disappointed by the service and the pizza chef's attitude. Despite my invitation to calm down and not shout, the pizza chef continued to come out from behind the counter and come right in my face as if threatening. It was a theatrical scene. I definitely won't be returning, nor will anyone who witnessed this farce.
02/08/2025: Unfortunately, it was a very negative experience. It had already happened to me some time ago, but I wanted to give it another chance. Unfortunately, I had a table booked and it was about to be given away. I waited over an hour for 4 pizzas. 2 of them arrived and they were completely wrong. Unfortunately, they were badly cooked, burnt, dry, and salty. Half the pizza was left because it was inedible. I reported everything to the waiter and the owner, who is impractical and didn't care, telling me he doesn't have any staff and that's how it is. Well, you are a bunch of incompetents, you have low-quality products, and you made me waste my time and money. It was a total waste.

10/05/2025: Appena arrivati, Tando due ore prima abbiamo mangiato un buon minestrone baccalà alla livornese tutti i piatti della magica Val di Nievole toscani e soprattutto caserecci fagiolini lessi personale molto attento e gentile, soprattutto svelto questo locale lavora moltissimo ideale per pranzi di lavoro consigliatissimo

16/08/2025: Delicious Tuscan cuisine, strictly homemade! If you come, try the tordelli, they're amazing! And the whole menu! Expect courtesy, like being at home! The staff, both in the kitchen and in the dining room, are fantastic! Highly recommended.
