08/01/2025: Abbiamo pranzato molto bene. Carina e particolare la locazione però non ho molto gradito il fatto che non c'era la tovaglia ma un misero sottopiatto (?) di carta e di conseguenza le posate erano direttamente sul tavolo di vetro . Dal momento che tutto era curato avrebbero dovuto prestare un pochino di attenzione a questo particolare. Ottimo il cinghiale mediocri i tagliolini al tartufo

08/01/2025: When I don't know where to go, I always choose the tavern. Simple restaurant, but of excellent quality, very generous portions, excellent value for money. The only advice is to book in advance because it is always full.

01/12/2024: After an evening of work we decide to go to dinner but not knowing where to go, I open Google and am attracted by this place I've never seen before....
Let's go and try... we enter a very welcoming and fresh place... outside a beautiful green park, inside a renovated barn.
The owner welcomes us warmly.
We opt for a Tuscan tasting menu. Spectacular..
A huge platter made up of refined cured meats, cheeses and various croutons... delicious and rich.
An Italian ribeye steak... rare... served on a healthy hot plate... the meat is wonderful and soft like butter...
A side of sautéed herbs and roasted potatoes.
To finish these delicacies, a very creamy lemon sorbet and classic cantucci with Vinsanto.
Everything was excellent, I'll definitely come back with my whole family... and there are a lot of us... because it's really worth it... and the prices are excellent...

29/10/2024: Para aquellos turistas, y en particular los estadounidenses, como yo que pueden aventurarse a abandonarse a "permitirse" ser servidos sin menú, pero simplemente aceptar a los duendes para sacar lo que tienen es una experiencia única en la vida. Esta familia ha sido carnicera por más de 125 años. Su alcance es educar a sus clientes sobre lo que la tierra produce y servirla de maneras que uno nunca ha probado antes. Es una experiencia única, no hay 2 cenas nunca serán iguales, vale la pena el precio y es la experiencia más auténtica que uno puede tener en la región.

11/08/2024: The best Pizza and calzone I have ever had, unfortunately a takeaway restaurant and they didn't really speak English, but they did their best to help us, it was also super cheap, 24 euros for 4 people, there was a small seat outside along the road which is a shame and could be better, but really great food and service
31/07/2024: Having arrived tired and cranky in Montopoli after a long and warm drive, there’s only one cure for the Monday blues: pizza!!!
Monday most restaurants are closed, but this little place was open. It’s certainly a place where locals come to buy a slice of goodness in the evening. That’s always a good sign. There’s very limited seating arrangements; one table and 2 benches. Being very touristy, we dined in. The waitress was nice and spoke English. They also have a menu hanging in English, so you know what you will get!
Stepdaughter went for her usual poison; ham and cheese. My fiancée went for tomato/basil topping and I went for my weakness, spicy, so a pizza with Nduja.
Pizzas arrived quickly and as it should be with Italian pizzas, it’s minimalistic goodness. Crust was thin and well baked, tomato sauce full off flavor and it’s just so good.
The price for 3 pizzas, 2 beers and 2 icetea’s was a meager 27 euros. You can beat that price! We will come back, and this time just have a few slices of the many different varieties that they serve!

05/01/2025: Traditional food, as per tradition.
Despite having seen a lot of negative reviews, I don't understand why, they remember the dirt but perhaps they have never been to a Tuscan trattoria.
In my personal experience the food is good, home-style, perhaps not suitable for going out with the girlfriend but for lunch with the grandparents on a Sunday.
Very very good Tuscan starter, with good quality cured meats served with hot schiacciata.
Good cut of meat.
The only flaw I feel like wearing is the pici cacio e pepe, which I didn't like. They were not "Roman" style; beyond the recipe there was too much pepper, I recommend dosing better next time.
21/10/2024: I remember 14/15 years ago communion lunch the place was beautiful and well looked after both inside and out and we ate very well!
I came back and... the environment was neglected both outside and inside, dirty windows, cobwebs everywhere and clearly visible dirty and greasy floors, piled up objects and the food was terrible... appetizer I don't know how to define it, salty and full of oil the first courses, the cut and burnt mixed roast, the discreet service and the owner as friendly as I remembered!
Place to avoid, look elsewhere!

30/07/2024: Peaceful campsite, ideal for a few days. It is located between Prize and Florence and a train station is 10 minutes away by car to get to both cities!
The person at reception speaks French and was very kind and welcoming.

Consistent with the photos.
Toilet and shower clean when we arrived but a little less once more people. But it's still decent.
The - no hot water for the shower (even if it's summer the children like to have a little hot water)
The + the swimming pool with the right water temperature.
Very reasonable price for the services offered.

20/01/2025: Se state cercando un posto dove buttare via i vostri soldi e uscire con il mal di pancia dalla rabbia, questo locale fa al caso vostro. La mia esperienza è stata talmente pessima che ancora non riesco a credere di aver pagato per essere trattato in questo modo.
Iniziamo dal cibo: una cena a base di carne che avrebbe dovuto giustificare il prezzo, ma che invece non valeva neanche la metà. La carne, servita tiepida su un vassoio “caldo”, era a malapena 150 grammi. Il resto del piatto? Una montagna di patate fritte che avevo esplicitamente chiesto arrosto. Dopo aver fatto notare l’errore, mi è stato detto che le patate arrosto erano finite. Un ristorante di carne che finisce le patate? Ridicolo.
La bevanda? Una Coca Cola servita calda. Alla mia richiesta di ghiaccio e limone, mi hanno risposto che il ghiaccio era finito. Il limone è arrivato dopo 10 minuti, dentro un bicchiere come se fosse un oggetto raro. Davvero imbarazzante.
Il servizio è stato il punto più basso della serata. Cameriere svogliate e un titolare che sembrava fare di tutto per rendere l’esperienza ancora peggiore. La ciliegina sulla torta è stata quando ci hanno portato il conto alle 22:50, palesemente per mandarci via perché dovevano chiudere. Un gesto che definire scortese è poco. Se siete stanchi di lavorare, cambiate mestiere!
L’ambiente, già poco accogliente di suo, è stato reso ancora più opprimente dal pessimo servizio e dalla totale mancanza di attenzione verso il cliente. Un postaccio da cui stare alla larga.
