28/05/2026: While passing through Noto, the owner of the Antico Trappeto agricamper recommended this restaurant to us. The location is very special, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the food is excellent and high-quality. If you're in the area, I highly recommend it, you won't be disappointed.

28/05/2026: Hidden on a small street 10 minutes away from the proper touristic centre. Beautiful courtyard of a seemingly old house, with maybe a dozen tables, exactly what we expected to feel in a charming small baroque (in the centre) city of Sicilly. Great food, good wine, very good nonintrusive service. So good I am almost afraid to advertise it. Bravo!

14/06/2026: I stopped there "in the dark," but it was a good choice: a quiet place where you can spend and eat like the old days, with very friendly, gracious, and approachable staff. I had a "mollicata," a fresh local pasta dish topped with crusco peppers and breadcrumbs, very tasty and flavorful, washed down with Aglianico red wine and topped with a homemade dessert made with a blend of crusco custard, chopped walnuts, and chopped chocolate: a must-try. All for a handful of euros—what more could you want?

The quality of the meat is evident from the first bite, with select cuts and a menu that combines Japanese and Spanish influences in an original way. The option of cooking the meat directly on your own grill allows you to experience each course calmly and with a sense of participation. A refined restaurant, elegant atmosphere, and attentive service. Magnificent tapas!

From the moment we arrived, I immediately felt welcomed: the location is stunning, surrounded by nature near the Monticchio Lakes, and we had the opportunity to eat outdoors, with a relaxing atmosphere and truly enchanting views. The food was delicious, authentic, and well-prepared: typical Lucanian dishes prepared with fresh, genuine ingredients, which made the dinner enjoyable and memorable. The wine selection and the quality of the dishes also contributed to making everything perfect. The staff was friendly and welcoming, making you feel at home, attentive to detail and ready to recommend the house specialties with a sincere smile. In short, even though I've only been there once, Restaino Restaurant left a truly positive memory, and I recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy traditional Lucanian cuisine in a unique and evocative setting. As soon as I arrived, I asked if I could have a table with an ocean view, and they said yes. They then warned me that there might be a delay in taking orders, but to be honest, I was served incredibly quickly. The service was superbly coordinated and the attention was excellent. I would definitely return.
