12/04/2026: Spectacular focaccias. The owner was incredibly friendly and the tiramisu was delicious. We waited a little while at the entrance and it was totally worth it.

16/04/2026: My husband found this place while doing research on local craft beer. We have been there almost every day during our stay in Naples. They have great food, great music, great ambiance, great craft beer and cocktails. Must drop by place in Naples.

06/05/2026: You have to come here HUNGRY because the portions are huge and it’s so tasty! We had a red pizza just to have on the side because we wanted something to pick at, and then sarde pasta and a fritto misto, all of this for 2 people. We struggled to finish and we really regret not to, because it was all so good! We also got a limoncello at the end, for 2 soft drinks and some water and spent 50€!! Excellent value restaurant, such a hidden gem away from the main street and SO WORTH IT. 10/10 one of our favourite restaurants in this trip.

12/04/2026: Just returned from this splendid property surrounded by greenery. The rooms were spotless and the atmosphere was tidy. The food was divine, and everything was coordinated by two very welcoming and friendly people. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

19/04/2026: We went to this place for my birthday. When we booked over the phone, we were asked what paella we wanted. As soon as we were seated, the paella arrived immediately. Excellent service: the staff were super kind, smiling, and very sweet. Would I go back? Immediately. Everything was perfect and delicious. Well done.

07/04/2026: This restaurant is very close to Lagopesole Castle. I spent Easter Monday there with a set menu. The food was excellent, the setting simple, but the staff really made the difference: helpful, friendly, and extremely kind. They were accommodating regarding food, allergies, and arrival times, as we as a group had to wait well past the permitted time. Excellent experience.

The Appertivo and particularly the dinner was excellent, well cooked and more creative in composition of the dishes other than the culinaric mainstream of this region, that we met often and which becomes boaring after a few days...

10/01/2026: I was at this restaurant with my girlfriend and they seated us in the dining room. We waited several minutes to order, and when the waiter arrived, he reluctantly (almost annoyedly) explained to us how to order. Unsure whether we should order 500g of meat for two (the ordering procedure requires this if you don't want to take the pre-selected packages), we asked for time to review the menu, and he, clearly annoyed, left, subsequently sending a colleague to take our order in his place. They didn't bring us the proper cutlery or the salt for the meat (we were forced to call the waiters several times), they misplaced one of the next two desserts, and, after 60 minutes of dinner, the famous waiter arrived and asked us to stand since the next customers had arrived (eliciting a chuckle from the colleague). I'm forced to give it a poor rating given the high standard the restaurant aims to offer, given the prices on their menu (Prussian fillet steak at €150/kg). We expected better service and hope they can improve the staffing, as the restaurant's concept is very good. P.S. The owner was the kindest.

27/12/2025: A very quaint place with a great atmosphere. Good background music. Everything is well-kept, from the tables with built-in grill racks to a vent pipe that comes down from the ceiling to extract the fumes while you cook your own meat! Amazing. Attentive and discreet staff. Delicious, high-quality products. Prices are in line with the food you get, and the Fork discount was applied appropriately. We went on a Saturday for lunch, and there were just a few of us. So my overall rating is absolutely positive. We'll definitely be back.

Both the interior and exterior spaces are meticulously maintained and very charming: outside, tables are set under centuries-old trees, creating a truly unique atmosphere, with a beautiful view that makes the experience even more special. The food is good, well-presented, and of high quality. The prices are a bit high, but the truly enchanting location and setting justify them. Another plus is the staff, who were kind, helpful, and attentive. Overall, a positive experience.

21/09/2025: We were there on Wednesday, September 17. I was struck by the owner's exceptional kindness. He was able to advise us on what to order, even though one person was allergic to shrimp and one was vegetarian. He brought us homemade nachos with an exceptional fondue, special potatoes, delicious paella, and skewers with tender chicken, pork, and veal, etc., all served with special creams and excellent sangria. A dessert like in the old days with banana in a caramelized and chocolate crust. All accompanied by laughter, conversation, and the kindness of the chef/owner. I've been away for years, but everything is still as good as it was years ago. I recommend it!

From the moment we arrived, I immediately felt welcomed: the location is stunning, surrounded by nature near the Monticchio Lakes, and we had the opportunity to eat outdoors, with a relaxing atmosphere and truly enchanting views. The food was delicious, authentic, and well-prepared: typical Lucanian dishes prepared with fresh, genuine ingredients, which made the dinner enjoyable and memorable. The wine selection and the quality of the dishes also contributed to making everything perfect. The staff was friendly and welcoming, making you feel at home, attentive to detail and ready to recommend the house specialties with a sincere smile. In short, even though I've only been there once, Restaino Restaurant left a truly positive memory, and I recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy traditional Lucanian cuisine in a unique and evocative setting. I would return without hesitation. 🍝🌿✨
