A traditional trattoria with a warm welcome that makes you feel at home. Typical Lucanian dishes are delicious and of excellent quality. The crusco pepper dessert amazed us. Perfect service.

I stopped there "in the dark," but it was a good choice: a quiet place where you can spend and eat like the old days, with very friendly, gracious, and approachable staff. I had a "mollicata," a fresh local pasta dish topped with crusco peppers and breadcrumbs, very tasty and flavorful, washed down with Aglianico red wine and topped with a homemade dessert made with a blend of crusco custard, chopped walnuts, and chopped chocolate: a must-try. All for a handful of euros—what more could you want?

Excellent!! We started with an appetizer of truly high-quality cured meats and cheeses, followed by excellent first courses. Pecorino and crusco spaghetti is a must-try for pecorino lovers! And what can I say about the lamb stew: excellent both in quality and cooking! The chef is very talented, and his dishes are delicious! Highly recommended

This restaurant is very close to Lagopesole Castle. I spent Easter Monday there with a set menu. The food was excellent, the setting simple, but the staff really made the difference: helpful, friendly, and extremely kind. They were accommodating regarding food, allergies, and arrival times, as we as a group had to wait well past the permitted time. Excellent experience.

Top-notch traditional dishes, from appetizers to first courses, and the fantastic lamb, all recommended by Carmelisa, who gave us advice and delighted us. I highly recommend it. Compliments to the chef 🔝🔝🔝

We found this tavern by chance, and I have to say I was won over 😍 The ferricelli pasta with beggar's sauce and the crusco dessert were my weak points—delicious! Highly recommended!

07/01/2026: I've only been there once, a few years ago, but the experience was truly memorable, and I wanted to leave a mark on it. From the moment we arrived, I immediately felt welcomed: the location is stunning, surrounded by nature near the Monticchio Lakes, and we had the opportunity to eat outdoors, with a relaxing atmosphere and truly enchanting views. The food was delicious, authentic, and well-prepared: typical Lucanian dishes prepared with fresh, genuine ingredients, which made the dinner enjoyable and memorable. The wine selection and the quality of the dishes also contributed to making everything perfect. The staff was friendly and welcoming, making you feel at home, attentive to detail and ready to recommend the house specialties with a sincere smile. In short, even though I've only been there once, Restaino Restaurant left a truly positive memory, and I recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy traditional Lucanian cuisine in a unique and evocative setting. I would return without hesitation. 🍝🌿✨
