31/03/2024: Its seems that you disturb them when you arrive or if you ask a table for 3 as they want to sit you on a table for 2 or even at the bar area even if you have a reservation. The service is bad and unfriendly. The food is average and some menu items are not available. Very unfortunate as it was our Easter lunch.

08/01/2024: This bar is famous for its cannoli which are in the top three for tastiness and almost certainly in first place for size! Compared to the most famous competitor (dattilo cannoli) this one is more generous in size (and also costs less, €3 vs. €3.30), especially in the central part, the crust is thicker and therefore less crumbly while the ricotta is a little sweeter and more worked. Person I prefer Dattilo's cannoli a little more, I haven't eaten it here for a long time, but I must say that this too has its reasons. The staple instead disappointed me: the dough wasn't soft enough. A separate review should be left for the cannoli which certainly deserves 5 stars and the rest which is evidently not of the same level.

25/01/2024: What a find for gluten free diners in Trapani! Almost everything on the menu can be made gluten free and it’s so delicious you will find yourself wondering if they made a mistake (but don’t worry, my wife and I have eaten here 3xs now and we’ve always felt great afterward). Pros: Phenomenal food whether you need to eat gluten free or not Fresh made gluten free busiate (local traditional pasta shape) Great service (Claudio is the man!) A lovely location in an alley way near the center of the action in downtown Trapani Cons: It’s pricey for Sicily (but they get away with it because the food is so good) Almost too much cigarette smoke to enjoy the meal (obviously not the restaurant’s fault - but it just seems every time we eat here there is a chain smoker at the table on both sides of us and it does hurt the atmosphere)

Abbiamo quindi prenotato per cena prendendo: - Due hamburger vegani (serviti già con patate dipper) - patate dolci americane - kit salse - coca cola - birra Lagunitas - amaro monte Polizo Il servizio è impeccabile e veloce, gli hamburger e la patatine erano buoni (le porzioni generose). Servire hamburger prettamente vegani non è facile ma ci hanno fornito delle valide alternative. In generale direi che è un buon posto dove cenare ma vi consiglio di prenotare (chiamando un paio d'ore prima era praticamente quasi pieno - ed era un mercoledì sera di metà Marzo). 07/04/2024: We passed by the restaurant about 17:00 and found the place and the menu to be very attractive, so we booked right there for dinner. We were absolutely disappointed! The only good thing was the wine (Carricante eruzione 1614, 28) As antipasti we ordered the burrata and the Tris di mare. What can I say, you can go to any supermarket in the country and get a better burrata, put it on a plate and bam! You have a better dish. This burrata (9) was bad, as it had been previously frozen and lost all flavor and creamy texture. The tris di mare (15) was an extremely poor mix of two fried prawns, two dubious skewers, and a tiny tiny fried fish. You get better on the street for less than half of the price. As main, we ordered a tagliata (15) and busiate with artichokes and Bottarga (15). The tagliata was alright, but overcooked and dressed with a balsamic thick sauce that nothing has to do with meat… On the other hand, the busiate were a huge disappointment. Bottarga is precious product and supposed to be very tasteful. Well, I could not taste it, as all I tasted was something that seemed to be cream with cheap cheese and lots of salt (if I had bought a ready to eat sauce in the supermarket it would have tasted better). The pasta was overcooked and the artichoke in the dish was only the leftovers, the hard to eat leaves. I would recommend to anyone not to waste money here.

24/03/2024: Excellent cuisine in both the restaurant and the pizzeria, it's not the first time I've eaten at the Duca di Castemonte, we've always had a good time. The service is impeccable due to courtesy and attention to customers. Compliments
