18/08/2025: We booked Baglio Donna Franca as our wedding venue for our ceremony and reception party. Paola and her team were welcoming and helpful in offering us an opportunity to create our dream wedding vision across all parts of the venue. Very good communication throughout the process. Room are comfortable for guests to stay in and the sunset views by the pool are mesmerising. They have the most delicious selection of wine from the vineyard which us and many wedding guests have brought back to the UK.

10/08/2025: A delicious, traditional meal accompanied by a very warm welcome. But not only that! An incredible welcome! The restaurant owner even offered to help us if we had any problems with our bikes during our road trip. How wonderful this spontaneous kindness is!

20/07/2025: Beautiful grill restaurant, we ate some giant and delicious sandwiches, very kind staff, after 5 minutes of us arriving the order girl took care of taking the orders for the children immediately, excellent value for money... at the end of the evening they also gave us an orange jam made by them... I highly recommend it

02/09/2025: Kindness is the key that opens all doors, and Mr. Michele is a rare example: courtesy and kindness are immediately apparent. The recently renovated restaurant is elegant and welcoming: white tables and chairs, soft but bright lighting, a refined yet warm atmosphere. I arrived alone around 7:30 PM and, without any problem, they found me a seat right away. I ordered a plate of spaghetti with sea urchins (excellent, I really wanted to try them here), a glass of white wine, a bottle of water, and a lemon sorbet, which the owner kindly offered me. A simple gesture, but one that captures the restaurant's entire philosophy: kindness always pays off. The service is attentive, the cuisine excellent, and the feeling that remains is that of an experience that goes beyond good food: here you feel welcomed. I reached the restaurant on foot, after parking in the center and strolling among the architectural beauties of Marsala. At the end of Via San Lorenzo, on the corner of Via Sibilla, I found a place truly worth remembering and recommending. Compliments to the chef for his excellent cuisine and to Mr. Michele for his rare kindness. A restaurant that will stay in your heart. ♥️

13/08/2025: Free/equipped beach. The space is limited and the beach is quite small, with a lot of "dirt" left by (in)humans, which isn't picked up due to the poorly organized beach. The bar/restaurant service is also very disorganized; it should run like a machine to quickly satisfy customers, but instead, too much time is wasted talking to customers. This is a good thing, of course, but you need to be organized and only do it when possible, not if there's a line at the cash register. A young man in front of me waited five minutes and then left cursing. The food quality isn't excellent: the pane cunzato with tuna is very basic (soft, grilled bread), the salad with mozzarella, tomato, olives, and capers isn't very generous, and the breaded cutlet sandwich is also very basic. The prices are good, and their low prices reflect the quality. If you need to go to the bathroom, bring 20-cent coins.

14/08/2025: The two ladies at the cash register were rude and impolite! I ordered a pistachio granita and a brioche, ignoring the fact that the brioche had been microwaved to warm it up because it was obviously not fresh. I tried two teaspoons of granita. It tasted of everything except pistachio; I'm Sicilian, I know the taste of pistachio. Instead, it had a strong, sweetish almond flavor. I simply asked if I could have a lemon granita because the one I ordered wasn't to my liking (I didn't say I wanted it replaced, but that I wanted another). The ladies immediately got upset and started yelling in a manner that was, to say the least, inelegant, emphasizing that the first granita was good and that I would have to pay for it anyway. Great, I sat down at the table, and even though the bar was open as usual, with pasta pies coming out hot from the kitchen and customers picking up takeout, a young man next to me was busy cleaning up to close at an unspecified time ("as soon as they run out of things," the cashier's exact words) with SPIRIT, meaning I ate with the pungent, unpleasant smell of spirit permeating the entire place. Naturally, I paid for both granitas. AWFUL place.

08/04/2025: Siamo entrati con la fame di un esercito in marcia... e siamo usciti con la fame di due eserciti e una leggera crisi esistenziale. Il menù era più misterioso del finale di una serie Netflix, ma senza la soddisfazione del binge-watching. Abbiamo ordinato dei panini: il pane era così duro che abbiamo controllato se fosse parte dell’arredamento. Il prosciutto, probabilmente, aveva nostalgia del frigorifero. Il caffè? Una pozione al gusto "bruciato con accenni di disperazione", servita con un sorriso che gridava "aiuto, liberatemi da qui". L’unico lato positivo? Il conto: così salato che abbiamo pensato fosse compreso nel menù "mare". In sintesi: un’esperienza che ci ha unito... nel trauma. Ma oh, almeno adesso abbiamo una storia da raccontare! (considerate il contrario di quello che ho scritto)
