Superlative dishes, welcoming, friendly and sunny staff.
New favorite place.
04/06/2025: I went with my husband for lunch, the table with a panoramic view. We took the fixed menu with fantastic appetizers, a first course and a second course. Fresh fish, cooked very well. The staff was very kind and helpful. In terms of quality there is no comparison with the competitors of the same place. I highly recommend it.

Finally I was able to taste the real chop, like I used to!
The lamb and starters are also excellent.
A special mention for the kindness of Pasquale and his brother!

18/05/2025: We returned after a few years here at the IL PADRINO Restaurant in Forza d'Agrò, what can I say, we found it just as we left it....
Attentive, kind and polite staff.
Excellent food in quantity and also in quality. Only appetizers 25 euros (about 15 courses)
Appetizers and first course (3 first courses) 35 euros...
Complete with the second course 45 euros...
They bring you included in the price, water, bitters, limoncello, liqueur, sorbet, sweets, cannoli, fruit..... In short, what more do you want. .
I highly recommend.
Compliments for the availability and kindness that are priceless.

03/06/2025: The experience at the restaurant for a dinner was amazing. The staff and owner were welcoming and friendly while the view on the sea was breathtaking.
The fish/seafood discovery menu was so fresh, tasty and a good bang for the buck.
We are for sure coming back during our next trip to Sicily!!

02/06/2025: Esperienza da mai più ripetere. Hanno perso da subito la nostra comanda. Piano piano tutti tavoli si riempivano e mangiavano tutti tranne noi. Dopo un ora arriva l Antipasto che ti fanno pagare a peso d'oro e che anche solo a livello di quantità non ne vale assolutamente la pena. Dopo aver aspettato un' altra ora per l arrivo dei primi e nessuno dei camerieri ne sapeva niente.. abbiamo deciso di alzarci ed andare via. Con due bambini che a questo punto sono rimasti digiuni. Il proprietario invece di capire e venirci incontro e comportarsi in maniera umana cercava il pretesto per litigare. Siamo rimasti scioccati da questo individuo perchè neanche signore si può chiamare , che ad una certa età dovrebbe sapere come ci si comporta. Che delusione.. per non parlare dei servizi igienici ridotti in maniera catastrofica. Non meritate dei clienti come noi. A mai più.
27/05/2025: I returned after many years and found the same welcoming atmosphere and the same kind service. The rich appetizers are definitely the strong point. The menu is fixed and ends with a selection of sweets and liqueurs of all kinds, a nice final gesture!
It's a shame that the tastings of first and second courses are rather insignificant, without any particular flavors or ideas.
Overall an experience without infamy and without praise: you eat, but it doesn't leave a mark.

06/01/2025: Due aperol spritz 14 € serviti male con pacchetto di patatine minuscolo, senza tovaglioli!!!! Non voglio immaginare per una pizza, il mutuo!!
13/11/2024: This restaurant in the small village of Forza D'Agra has two lives really , one for when its quiet and caters for a small number of guests and when it caters for large groups of tourists on the Godfather tour. We saw both worlds and were amazed how well the restaurant / cafe coped considering it is a family run place where several family members are quite elderly and not in their prime. We saw when the large groups arrived many were impatient and demanding expecting all staff to speak fluent English and provide instant service. Ok so we saw the odd mistake being made and a few language challenges but many of these tourists forget they are in Italy and not a downtown cafe in New York ! We just loved this place and sat and had a few beers and enjoyed a lovely Margarita pizza cooked in the wood fired oven when the place was nice and quiet, we watched the manic arrival of the tour party and sat back and watched with interest , when they left and calm returned we enjoyed a few more beers. Ok we do speak Italian to a reasonable standard which helps but were amazed at how well this place is run and the food was just amazing

26/10/2023: I thought that a restaurant located in such a frequented place (next to the main square) could only be a kind of "tourist" place... But I was very pleasantly disappointed. Real Italian chefs and servers, delicious food, great atmosphere. Pizza Diavola is wonderful with crispy dough and spicy sausage.
26/09/2023: Excellent cannolies! Beatifull place.
