06/08/2025: Ci fermiamo a Valguarnera di passaggio e troviamo un locale old style molto grazioso.
Piccolo minimal ma molto accogliente.
Ti rilassa e ti mettono subito a tuo agio dandoti le giuste attenzioni.
Ordiniamo antipasto dello chef con prodotti locali ottimi, il primo del canale fresco e gustoso nella sua semplicità e per finire la tagliata che si scioglie in bocca.

24/05/2025: Consigliatoci dalla struttura dove alloggiavamo, questo luogo è ideale per potere fermarsi e mangiare in serenità. L'accoglienza della titolare (e del cuoco) amichevole, il locale è arredato come nell'antica tradizione dei piccoli centri, e con 'ottima scelta di non mettere una televisione in sala che distrae dalla conviviali. Un ottima e soffusa musica accoglie il viandante che si ferma a mangiare. La scelta del menù è ampia e soddisfa tutte le esigenze. Piatti classici come il passato di fave "macco", ed antipasti ricchi e saporiti della cucina tradizionale. Ottimi i primi e succulenti i secondi. Cortesia e qualità. Da non sottovalutare finalmente un tovagliato che non è fatto di carta, per risparmiare. Il prezzo invita a ritornare sicuramente, ma non è questo il motivo, è la bontà delle pietanze e la cortesia con cui si viene accolti. é in centro, ed il parcheggio è facile da trovare.

06/06/2025: From the outside it looks like a rotisserie but as soon as we entered it was a typical trattoria. The owner welcomed us like friends, very nice. The food was excellent and plentiful. Then I tasted my first arancino.

14/05/2025: Suggested by our friend Filippo we found an ideal spot for our simple, good, 😋, home-made breakfast. Needless to say, the courtesy and friendliness we found. Place on the main road, in front of a park. Passage of vibrant life.

31/03/2025: We stayed in central Sicily for a couple of days and drove Valguarnera Caropepe. We wanted to try the local pizza for dinner and Il Peperoncino was the most top rated on Google Maps. At first we were hesitant about entering the restaurant because it doesn’t look appealing from the outside. But it was TOTALLY worth it! We had 2 pizzas, a glass of red wine, one beer and one large still bottle of still water for a total of €27. We will definitely visit again! 👏👏

02/08/2025: Absolutely avoid – disastrous experience
We had a reservation for a group of 15 people at 8:45 pm at Alla Corte Di Bacco, but the evening turned into a nightmare. After more than 2 hours of waiting (the food arrived at 10:55 pm!), there was no goodwill, no apology.
🔹 Catastrophic organization: a single waitress overwhelmed by all the tables, late orders taken, mistakes in the dishes (incomplete or incorrect pizzas), and even a missing dish.
🔹 Questionable hygiene: dirty plates, glasses, and cutlery, greasy or poorly washed cutlery. The waitress's response: "We don't dry the cutlery and plates." Unacceptable.
🔹 Non-existent service: we had to get up to get drinks and some dishes from the counter ourselves.
🔹 Disrespectful management: When we tried to speak calmly with the manager, Antonella, she shied away responsibility by blaming the waitress and even insinuated that we were at fault. There was no professionalism, no listening skills, and a haughty attitude.
In short, this restaurant is clearly not equipped to manage groups, or even guarantee basic service. They are clearly relying on the lack of alternatives in Valguarnera, which is regrettable.
⚠️ Disastrous service – Borderline hygiene – Poor welcome
I strongly advise against it.
