28/05/2024: We were travelling from Piazza Armerina and stopped here for lunch on the way to Taormina and what a gem of a place it is. Yes, all the wonderful sights in Sicily are unique and not to be missed, but if you get a chance book lunch here too, you won't be disappointed. All the food and wine were produced by the owners of this delightful agriturismo farm and we enjoyed a delicious, large selection of anti pasta, home made bread, followed by a yummy pasta dish and desert all accompanied with the best red wine I had on my entire Sicilian trip and very reasonably priced. Maybe it was because we were late arriving due to a member of our group having an accident and needing to be taken to hospital, I don't know but the owner was a bit curt with me. However his staff were lovely and the food, wine and ambience were superb which was the most important thing for us. Grazie Agriturismo Borgo Antico

09/04/2024: Bel posto, circondato da un agrumeto e tanti alberi. Discretamente elegante senza essere pretenzioso. Numero di coperti non esagerato (saranno una cinquantina) e quindi spazio e "silenziosità" della sala garantiti, cosa che negli agriturismi è difficile trovare. Il pranzo si compone di numerosissimi antipasti (direi circa quindici), tutti di buona qualità. A seguire un primo e due secondi, anch'essi più che apprezzabili, per poi concludere con dolce, frutta e caffè. Servizio buono, magari cercherei di accorciare un po' i tempi tra le portate dato che per un pranzo ci sono volute 3 ore di orologio, passate comunque gradevolmente. Il tutto a 35€ a persona, pagamento solo in contanti (ma con ricevuta , sia chiaro). Mi sembra di capire sia un problema che si porta avanti da tempo, direi che nel 2024 ci si può anche dotare di un POS, sumup è stato inventato apposta. Esperienza nel complesso più che positiva che mi porta a consigliare il posto

28/07/2023: This place never disappoints, pizzas are huge and delicious! The night we went every table was full but staff still managed to keep on top of the drinks. The view over the piazza is fantastic and worth climbing the stairs for.

06/02/2024: Ho preso un buonissimo cannolo alla ricotta, cialda croccante, non parliamo poi della meravigliosa ricotta lavorata, era proprio una delizia ♥️

26/12/2023: Cannolo e cassatella fritta....di un altro pianeta...si deve fare tappa qui, se siete nei pressi di Mineo...per assaporare il cannolo Sicily style e non solo!

23/08/2023: What a feast! We stumbled across this amazing, family owned and run restaurant on our travels through Sicily. Mineo is a scenic village tucked high up in the hills with amazing views - and from the front porch of this place you can see out into the valley. Quiet and picturesque and well worth detouring to go walk around after you feast here! Great menu - all lovely local food. We had amazing anti pasta, then onto fresh pasta, great veal and chicken and salad and we just couldn't stop! Lovely local white and red wine in a carafe. The family were SO friendly to us even though we don't speak Italian and their English was limited (except for the super friendly wife of the chef who happened to be eating there with her two young daughters and helped translate everything!!). We were driving from the south coast to Etna - a lovely scenic route through the hills and valleys; a nice change to hugging the coast. Highly recommend!
