04/10/2025: I had dinner here my last night in the island and it was excellent. I have the feeling I wasted all the other nights in other touristic places. This place is very local, food typical from sardinia, very nicely cooked, perfect place.
02/10/2025: A very pretty location surrounded by greenery, excellent food, friendly waiters, explaining all the dishes, offering wine recommendations, etc. I would have given it 5 stars for the wonderful experience if it weren't for the fact that, once all the other tables had left, they turned off the music and some of the lights (we still had to finish our wine) when we were alone. I would have understood if it had been late, but it was 9:45 pm, and the waitress was kind enough to invite us to finish slowly. We didn't like this, especially since the set menu included coffee and a digestif, which we weren't asked for. We didn't ask because they were literally closing the restaurant and we didn't think it was appropriate.

17/09/2025: We had a bit of a wait to pass the time, so we stopped for a drink. €3.50 for a beer and a Coke isn't unusual in this city, and it's okay. The staff was very friendly, and it's nice to watch the hustle and bustle of the street from the terrace. I can definitely recommend this bar.

22/08/2025: We had lunch at this restaurant located inside a shopping center on the main street of Valledoria. The place is welcoming and has outdoor seating. We ordered two pizzas, which were tasty and well-prepared. The staff was friendly and efficient. The ingredients used are high-quality and the toppings are generous. We will definitely return with our friends.

Service was poor; our mixed salad arrived after our pizza, and we were charged for 1 liter of beer even though we only ordered 0.5 liters.

24/08/2025: Expensive but very good! We had dinner there and asked for the grigliata mixta and frittura di mare for 3 (2 adults + 3 year old) and it was very good and enough quantity. I would definitely recommend it for the sunset&dinner. Drinks are very expensive tough.

03/10/2025: We were lucky – it was absolutely worth it!
We wanted to have burgers today. According to Google, the restaurant was supposed to be open from 5:30 p.m., but it looked closed – it's October, after all.
Just as we were about to leave, an employee drove by and told us they were about to open.
Luckily, we waited!
My "Rock'n Beer" burger was delicious – juicy, well-seasoned, and freshly prepared.
My companion had Salad No. 2: green salad, radicchio, Taggiasca olives, sun-dried tomatoes, and walnuts – which was also very popular.
We shared fries and sweet potato fries with it, which were nicely crispy and attractively served in a basket – great!
You can access the menu via QR code and (theoretically) order.
This doesn't work reliably at the moment, and the German translation of the menu could be significantly improved – but the food more than makes up for it.
25/09/2025: Excellent service, I loved the pasta, and the place is very cool. For our main course, we ordered three fried tapas (plus the two pasta dishes) and two drinks per person. Great price. We'll be back!

18/08/2025: Not to be tried, an hour and a half of waiting, with constant teasing like "5 minutes and it's ready" for a terrible lobster spaghetti (it would have been better if it had remained in the kitchen given the quality) *I had to rush home

29/06/2025: Maleducazione, mai avuto risposte del genere!
Ho telefonato per conoscere gli ingredienti dell’impasto pizza in quanto allergica a diversi alimenti. Mi risponde una signora, alla mia domanda mi risponde: acqua e sale.
Le chiedo, gentilmente, se sa dirmi il tipo di farina (se integrale o meno). Decide di chiedere al pizzaiolo e mi riporta: acqua, lievito, farina ed olio. Le richiedo se la farina fosse integrale per seri problemi di allergia a quelle integrali, con estrema maleducazione e nervosismo mi risponde che ha la sala piena con 200 persone e che non può perdere tempo al telefono! Ha tono arrogante e presuntuoso.
Sempre garbatamente ringrazio e stacco la telefonata.
Non aggiungo altro…è già troppo!
21/06/2025: Expérience décevante chez Il Merlo Indiano
Nous avons dîné chez Il Merlo Indiano et malheureusement, l’expérience n’a pas été à la hauteur. Après une attente d’environ une heure, nous avons appris que notre plat (des calamars frits) avait été envoyé par erreur à une autre table. Aucune excuse claire, juste une nouvelle période d’attente avant de finalement être servis.
Autre point regrettable : les deux plats que nous avions commandés ont été apportés avec plus de 10 minutes d’écart. Pendant ce temps, plusieurs clients arrivés bien après nous ont été servis rapidement, sans explication.
Concernant la nourriture, la pizza était très moyenne, et il manquait un ingrédient annoncé (le poivron).
Nous étions venus pour passer un bon moment, mais nous sommes repartis frustrés et déçus.

20/06/2025: Völlig unangemessene hohe Preise bei eher durchschnittlicher Qualität des Essens und mangelndem Service.
Da gibt es in der Nähe bessere Alternativen.
Wir können das Restaurant nicht empfehlen.

23/08/2024: Abbiamo preso per asporto calamari fritti, gamberoni alla griglia e 2 verdure grigliate. Tutto buono. Abbiamo pagato 53 euro.
16/08/2024: Ristorante posto nel centro di Valledoria dove è possibile mangiare pizza, piatti di pesce e terra. Noi abbiamo mangiato la pizza che era davvero buona e di grandi dimensioni. Siamo stati serviti in poco tempo e il personale è stato gentile e disponibile. Consiglio la prenotazione perchè è un locale molto frequentato. E' possibile prendere anche pizze da asporto.
