19/01/2025: A nice little place a stone's throw from the sea, nice clean and well furnished environment. Courteous and very helpful staff, Luca, the owner, immediately put us at ease and advised us on what to choose. Varied menu based on excellent fish; we ordered several dishes including the octopus meatballs (delicious), the anchovies and the mixed fry (among the best I've ever eaten), all well plated but above all of quality. We will definitely be back 😍

19/01/2025: Historic pizzeria in Taviano that does not betray its fame and expectations. Even though Saturday night is a full house night, the guys are good at managing the room. The appetizers are delicious and the pizza is really special, in my opinion one of the best ever.

29/01/2025: Questo simpatico ristorante, posto nel cuore del centro storico, offre le specialità più tipiche della cucina salentina. Sono bravi, scrupolosi e attenti a non allontanarsi dal solco della tradizione e questo, indubbiamente, è il suo punto di forza. Alcuni piatti sono strepitosi! Le "sagne 'ncannulate" e i "pezzetti" di cavallo, per esempio, sono assolutamente da assaggiare. Poi ci sono la "pitta" di patate e la parmigiana, così buone che non si può non ordinarle. Non mi sono piaciute, invece, la cicorie saltate con i pomodorini: legnose e poco saporite. Sono assolutamente da migliorare (anche nella scelta delle materie prime).

07/10/2024: Location discreta e un pò fuori mano nell'entroterra salentino, arredi semplici ma gradevoli, staff tutto molto giovane ma attento, preparatissimo, affabile e molto cortese. E soprattutto un menu intelligente, con tante proposte di terra e di mare rivisitate con molta intelligenza, la giusta dose di creatività e zero presunzione (strepitosi fra i tanti piatti proposti la tagliata di scottona, i cardoncelli, le orecchiette, il brasato e la crema catalana!). Vini ottimi e ben consigliati, prezzi più che onesti, servizio rapido e curatissimo. Insomma, una bellissima sorpresa e cinque meritatissime stelle. Bravi!

10/02/2025: I went with my family and a best friend of mine on the day of my confirmation on 5/01/25 on the eve of the Befana and it is a rustic restaurant in Taviano where everything was served splendidly and for the decorations of the environment there was even a sailing ship on the fireplace, paintings and it is also a bar because you could see the cocktails. The food was all good for everyone but I couldn't find out the prices because I was the birthday girl and I hadn't paid. I recommend it to people who are there and it also has an open but small outside area for smoking because it is prohibited inside. 5 stars for this restaurant because everything was tasty between the starters and the first courses and the menu was excellent! 😉😋⭐💯

20/02/2025: In remote Taviano we found this little hidden gem. As soon as we entered we perceived a pleasant warmth, given by a simple, well-kept but at the same time elegant environment, with a note of traditionality given by the very rustic and detailed furnishings, embellished by the warmth of the lit fireplace which made everything more accommodating. A special touch is given by the splendid view of their well-kept outdoor garden, where you can enjoy your meal in the summer. As soon as we were seated, we were greeted by very friendly, attentive and helpful staff, who delighted us with a welcome glass of prosecco and some fragrant pittula accompanied by a tasty vin cotto. We started with a mixed starter, which included exquisite morsels of fried ricotta, the classic parmigiana, battered cod, octopus pignata and other land and sea tastings. As a first course we had tasty handmade pumpkin gnocchi with bacon, smoked Agerola provola cheese and yellow datterino tomatoes sauce and the traditional burnt wheat earrings with small vegetables, crispy bacon and smoked provola cheese fondue. An impeccable combination of flavours, given by the strong taste of the vegetables, the sweetness of the sauces, the crunchiness of the bacon and the creaminess of the fondue, all perfectly balanced. The price is absolutely in line with the quality of the dishes and the impeccable service. If you love Salento and want to discover the flavours, authenticity and hospitality, Casa Martino is a place you absolutely must not miss! Not just a restaurant, but literally an experience that deserves to be lived.
