06/01/2025: The overnight stay at the Castle was overall not worthy. There are various positive aspects, from the view of the "cuperta square" which although I knew it well from below, I admit that from above it has a completely different effect; to impeccable cleanliness every morning; by the kindness of the girl who served us breakfast even though it was 7am and the service was barely "available". In short, everyone was available and everything was pleasant, except for: 1) As in most hotels, there is no waste bin in the room, while it is only present in the bathroom (trivial but not too much) 2) The bed, the biggest problem. - The duvet loses feathers excessively, the clothes, especially dark ones, ended up being filled with white feathers and I'm not exaggerating, the problem is big, the clothes were unusable due to how many feathers that duvet pushed out, the floor was just as full and let's be clear , duvet used for its purpose, not that it has been played with, I'm sure whoever does the cleaning knows well how annoying it is to clean up the "morning blanket" every morning. - The mattress is small, my feet were sticking out and I'm about 1.75m tall, quite uncomfortable for sleeping 3) The rod on which the towels rested came off easily 4) The toilet flush button is broken, it falls when you press it 5) The lamp in front of the mirror on the table covers half of the only mirror present, I would review the positioning 6) There is no safe for personal effects, everything in the open cupboard on trust 7) Breakfasts at €10 per person seem a bit excessive for Torre Santa Susanna I could continue with aspects such as the key with its large dimensions and questionable weight due to the material (I would recommend something that does not reach 200 grams and is comfortable in the pocket) or even with the fridge in the room which when attached made a bit of noise but I understand I expect to become exaggerated and appear excessive. In conclusion, I would like to specify that the hotel is very nice, the staff is impeccable and the negative aspects listed are easy to resolve and few if given the complete picture, such as the very low and inviting cost of accommodation in the winter season. But if I have to think about the same room during the high season with the related costs proposed, the problems become important and precisely because they are easy to resolve, failure to intervene would be difficult to justify. If the review is not very pleasant, I invite you to reread it and take advantage of the time taken to list easily solvable localized problems that can give you added value and a more than justifiable increase in costs. With the best intentions, I leave you this constructive criticism. 01/01/2025: We had our wedding reception in this place, unfortunately we were very, very disappointed, many mistakes, we went to the pre-tasting where we chose the food and also the decoration, it's a shame that the decoration was made completely differently, we chose a pistachio and hazelnut flavored wedding cake but it was coffee flavored, not to mention the wedding planer who worked for the venue at the time and recommended and insured by the director, only created problems for us. The disappointing thing is that we never even received an apology , it was me asked anyway the initial price despite the various mistakes, it's not for the money in fact I paid everything without any problem, but I don't recommend this place, they didn't understand the gravity of ruining a unique moment of a couple who has been waiting for this moment for years and who does everything to have it as you dreamed. I'm only sorry for the head waiter who was magnificent and also the food I can't complain for this 2 stars otherwise one.
