24/09/2025: I've been going to this place for years, more often lately because I work nearby. Alas, I won't be going there again. Lately, I've been treated badly, with the owner making us feel uncomfortable by taking away our unfinished dishes, rushing us to order. Yesterday, I found a hair in my food, and the waiter mocked me. Naturally, I paid the bill without even an apology from the owner. Furthermore, they now cook with margarine (a fact confirmed by the owner), and as you can imagine, the taste of the dishes I've always enjoyed is unpleasant. I'm sorry, but you've lost a longtime customer.

10/10/2025: The menu promises more refinement than the dishes on the plates ultimately delivered...in our case, all three of them sounded better than they tasted. Some of the prices are relatively high, not overpriced, but expectations were simply high and weren't met.
The service was either composed primarily of trainees that day or generally not on the ball and rather inattentive. You always had to wait a long time for someone or make a lot of noise before someone came to your table.
The seating there is very nice and comfortable, though. The ambiance is very tasteful.

03/10/2025: We had lunch at Manuel's and had a wonderful time! The mushroom risotto was excellent and creamy, the cutlet with fries was perfect for the kids, and the homemade tiramisu was truly outstanding. Friendly staff, generous portions, and fair prices: highly recommended!
02/10/2025: Rustic trattoria just steps from the center of Aosta, where you can eat well and spend relatively little.
Pizza cooked in a wood-fired oven.

18/09/2025: Okay, I ordered the daily menu, which is obviously cheaper than the individual dishes. However, the lasagna was truly awful, consisting essentially of just pasta and béchamel sauce, and almost entirely devoid of any ragù. The waiters were very friendly, and the tables were carefully set with beautiful tablecloths and glasses. The prices were reasonable, although the quality could be better.

21/07/2025: Anyone passing through Aosta, whether on their way to the Matterhorn, Mont Blanc, or wherever, absolutely must stop for a piadina at Paola's... not only is it the best piadina you'll ever eat, but she's also an incredible person.

Trattoria Hostaria del Calvino

29/09/2025: Whenever we're in Aosta, Hostaria del Calvino is a regular stop.
Excellent food, from the mixed platter to polenta concia, tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, etc.
The pizzas are also truly excellent.
Yesterday, Sunday, September 28th, I brought a group of friends who were delighted.
See you in December for the Christmas markets.

15/08/2025: A gelateria (because that's the service I often frequent) that has few equals in the hinterland. Variety of flavors, creativity, and quality ingredients. Gelato always creamy and served at just the right temperature. The staff is dynamic and courteous.
19/04/2025: Very polite staff and quite fast. The room is nice, the outside is in a small area but a lot of people still come in. If you want to relax and divert your mind, highly recommended

25/07/2025: I come to this place when I feel the need for quality fish in quantity.
16/06/2025: The owner complains that because of the Mc Lion Trophy tournament they are penalized from the point of view of customers, because in the green area of Gressan they set up the tent with a fixed lunch and dinner menu for 15 euros and few people go to him. But do some soul searching! A TAKE AWAY margherita pizza costs 8 euros? Did you go and get the mozzarella and tomato the same evening in Naples? I come from Liguria, not even on the Riviera would I pay 8 euros for a margherita pizza. Furthermore, in the photos you posted it is indicated as 5 euros. The Guardia di Finanza should come and visit you

01/10/2025: I didn't like it here. The atmosphere resembled an old supermarket where a few tables had simply been shoved in. My wife got her meat dish 20 minutes before I got my pizza...that's not fun when you're going out to eat together. Anyway, the pizza wasn't really good; the crust was burnt in places, and the middle was rather soupy. The pizza didn't really impress me in terms of taste either. Personally, I think 3 anchovies and 3 small half tomatoes on a pizza this size is too few.
26/09/2025: Excellent service and equally excellent food. Compliments to the Moroccan waiter, who was very kind and professional and, above all, knew his job well!

11/10/2025: A Saturday night to forget. We ordered three pizzas, and my daughter, who always eats pizza voraciously, left practically all of it. I've never seen three pizzas so full of oil, and mine was inedible, with porcini mushrooms and a glut of jarred oil that only gave the pizza a porcini oil flavor and nothing else. The result: I left feeling hungry and heartburn.
If we return to Aosta, we will definitely never eat here again.
30/08/2025: Every year in August, I go to Val Veny with my family and we stop in Aosta to eat pizza at this pizzeria, and every year we are always satisfied. Excellent product quality! Highly recommended.
