29/04/2026: I visited this restaurant very close to the center of Ceglie Messapica on April 25th. I must say there were many tourists like me in the town, and naturally, this restaurant was no exception. There are also tables outside on the street, which isn't very wide, narrowing the lane where residents' cars and suppliers to the many businesses still pass, which is why we preferred to have lunch inside. Among the appetizers were seafood, which, being used to much else, I found to be poor, but still enjoyable. Then there was the peppered mussels, whose quality was above average in restaurants—and I'm referring to the brodetto used to flavor the black mussels. Finally, there was a grilled seafood platter and a mixed fried fish dish (which didn't have much of a fish dish other than anchovies... well, nothing but calamari and tiny shrimp), which was decidedly not appreciated. I was about to go to pay the bill when they brought us some traditional sweets and a limoncello on the house (very kind of them, at least).

The staff is friendly, courteous, and always prompt with service.
The pizza is simply extraordinary: cooked to perfection and topped with top-quality ingredients.
A culinary experience not to be missed, absolutely worth trying!

26/04/2026: Terrible experience: lack of organization and poor service
The restaurant is structurally pleasing, with a wooden mezzanine housing an additional dining room, but the atmosphere is ruined by excessive and unwelcoming lighting. Unfortunately, aesthetics are the only positive aspect. The staff proved unprofessional, welcoming us with condescension and obvious disinterest.
The real disaster was the organization: despite having agreed on the menu for a birthday party days in advance, the owner forgot every detail of the agreement. After an exhausting hour and a half wait, drastically reduced portions were served in a haphazard manner. The appetizers were mediocre and flavorless (vegetables in oil, corn, and low-quality cured meats), while the pizzas were rubbery and undercooked.
We made a terrible impression on our guests due to a completely improvised management. The only successful moment was the cake cutting, which was only because we ordered it from outside. A venue can't afford to neglect its customers like this just because it's counting on a full house thanks to its low prices.

15/02/2026: I was there last night with a friend of mine.
We sat in the dining room and waited over a quarter of an hour before getting up to call the waiter to order. Once we called, he came to the table and we ordered two appetizers, which arrived another 15 minutes later. Once they brought them, this waiter, who calls himself "Iodice," insistently and annoyingly asked us to pay the bill. This really bothered us because we considered it truly rude, as we'd never had a waiter come to the table to pay the bill, as if he didn't trust us, as if we weren't supposed to pay it anyway at the cash register. He also justified his behavior by saying that the owner ordered him to make this request. Finally, other friends told me that this same waiter also dared to call a friend by a nickname related to his size. That's it, we kindly ask you to take action, otherwise we won't come to this place again and we'll cause bad publicity.
30/10/2025: My partner and I went there last night. For the first time in many years, we felt bad about the new, older waiter. As soon as we walked in, my partner felt like we were being watched. Then, when he approached, he made a pass at my partner, saying something in dialect like, "We didn't quite understand, he was talking about breasts." She didn't take her eyes off him the entire evening. They should hire serious staff, not malicious people; he looked like a Bedouin. I hope the owners read the review and do something about it, otherwise we'll never set foot in the nightlife again and we'll get bad publicity.

29/09/2024: Siamo stati a cena con un gruppo di amici. All’arrivo ci chiedono se vogliamo stare fuori o dentro. La serata lo permetteva, quindi abbiamo scelto di stare fuori, ma non avremmo mai pensato che “fuori” significasse stare in mezzo a una strada con tavoli, sedie in plastica e un coperto discutibile. Io, in particolare, ero in bilico tra marciapiede e asfalto, rendendo non poco scomoda la seduta.
Volevamo un antipasto, ma non c’era. Ci sono solo portate singole, ad esempio capocollo, polpette, ecc., al modico prezzo di 10-12 euro a portata. Ci adeguiamo e ordiniamo. Le portate sono da considerare sufficienti per una persona. Un piatto in particolare ci ha lasciato perplessi: zucchine fritte in pastella, 10€. Anche gli altri piatti non erano adeguati al prezzo, ma le zucchine erano scandalose.
La ciliegina sulla torta è arrivata quando nelle polpette con sugo si è palesato un capello incastonato nella polpetta. Piatto mandato indietro e non voluto più. Il filetto era buono, ma erano sì e no 300 grammi per 25€. Arriva il conto e il piatto mandato indietro non era presente. Amari e grappe offerti, ma c’era un coperto in più che non abbiamo contestato. Pagato e adios, a mai più.
