01/06/2025: For us, one of the best pizzerias in Ceglie. Beautiful ambiance in the vaulted cellar of an old olive oil mill. Outdoor seating is also available in the summer. Friendly and attentive service, and an interesting selection of different doughs.

18/05/2025: Simple, quality food at great prices, service was top notch! We were a group of 6 adults and 2 children, we visited this restaurant twice as we loved it so much the first time. The pasta with prawns and zucchini was my personal favourite. The diabolika and napoli pizzas were fantastic, too! Parking outside if you're lucky otherwise 2-3 min walk which is lovely of an evening. Would 100% return if I was in this area again. At the time of this review, the overall rating is 4.3. I believe it should be at least 4.6 at the very least. Pasta at the time was €8 and pizza €6.50 - €8

11/06/2025: A pleasant discovery in the center of Ceglie Messapica
Passing through the land of the Messapians to meet some friends, we were invited to this tavern and we were thrilled.
The location is enchanting: a historic building with barrel vaults, furnished with vintage copper pans and ladles, which immediately evoke the flavors and traditions of the past.
The staff is courteous and attentive, always ready to accommodate every request. The fish is fresh and the raw seafood is really good. Both the appetizers and the main courses have generous portions, perfect for those who love to eat with taste.
Among the dishes that impressed us the most, the fava bean puree with chicory stands out - a classic from Puglia, authentic and full of flavors that bring to mind the stories of our grandparents. The quality of the raw materials is excellent: from the mozzarella to the capocollo of Martina Franca, everything is taken care of in detail. Also not to be missed is the fish on the trolley, selected with experience.
Special thanks to Salvatore and Graziana for letting us discover this little gem.
It certainly won't be a goodbye, but a see you later!
26/05/2025: I was there for a birthday and the birthday boy had opted for a fixed menu including appetizers, a first course and a second course.
Nothing special about the appetizers as we ate the usual things we are used to such as anchovies, bread croutons, cold cuts with cheeses, pizza dough fritters etc.. if you are looking for something different from the usual appetizers this is not the right place. The first courses did not excite anyone and there were 12 of us at the table, average for what you can find everywhere while the meat was good and someone asked for seconds. The owner who at the end of the service asked the birthday boy to leave a tip to the waiters was not very appropriate
PS regarding the owner's response.
I don't think I said I didn't like your menu in fact I gave 4 out of 5 for the food and also for the service as well as the overall review.
I don't allow myself to judge the events between you and the birthday boy because I wasn't there

26/04/2025: We had a great breakfast, the staff was awesome and kind. Dogs are allowed into the inner yard. We were in a hurry and unfortunately we couldn’t enjoy this jewel as long as it deserves. Tutto a posto!

29/09/2024: Siamo stati a cena con un gruppo di amici. All’arrivo ci chiedono se vogliamo stare fuori o dentro. La serata lo permetteva, quindi abbiamo scelto di stare fuori, ma non avremmo mai pensato che “fuori” significasse stare in mezzo a una strada con tavoli, sedie in plastica e un coperto discutibile. Io, in particolare, ero in bilico tra marciapiede e asfalto, rendendo non poco scomoda la seduta.
Volevamo un antipasto, ma non c’era. Ci sono solo portate singole, ad esempio capocollo, polpette, ecc., al modico prezzo di 10-12 euro a portata. Ci adeguiamo e ordiniamo. Le portate sono da considerare sufficienti per una persona. Un piatto in particolare ci ha lasciato perplessi: zucchine fritte in pastella, 10€. Anche gli altri piatti non erano adeguati al prezzo, ma le zucchine erano scandalose.
La ciliegina sulla torta è arrivata quando nelle polpette con sugo si è palesato un capello incastonato nella polpetta. Piatto mandato indietro e non voluto più. Il filetto era buono, ma erano sì e no 300 grammi per 25€. Arriva il conto e il piatto mandato indietro non era presente. Amari e grappe offerti, ma c’era un coperto in più che non abbiamo contestato. Pagato e adios, a mai più.
