18/02/2026: Every year I go to Ceglie for about 10 days. For me, Taverna di Domenicani is the best place to enjoy authentic, quality Apulian cuisine. The ingredients are of the highest quality and always fresh. The catch is the catch of the day. The owner is a wonderful person and truly professional. The service is precise, attentive, and meticulous.
The location is central, beneath Piazza del Plebiscito, the heart of Ceglie.
It's easily accessible on foot.
The restaurant is elegant and suitable for a romantic dinner or a dinner with friends. The atmosphere is serene and peaceful.
For us, it's our regular meeting place in Ceglie.

I've been there for both dinner and lunch, and the various culinary offerings are excellent. The pizzas with cereal dough are excellent. The Sunday menu at 28 euros per person is recommended for a quiet and succulent Sunday, as the menu includes no fewer than 10 appetizers, 1 first course, 1 second course, and a side dish with drinks. A welcoming place to visit. ❤️
03/01/2026: Rustic and welcoming restaurant. Mr. Giuseppe is helpful and professional. We ate very well and were served equally well. Excellent ingredients, cooked traditionally. We chose the house menu for €28, which included appetizers, a first course, and a second course each. Drinks included, including liqueur and coffee. It's been a long time since I've had such a high-quality experience at a restaurant! I'll definitely be back!

15/02/2026: I was there last night with a friend of mine.
We sat in the dining room and waited over a quarter of an hour before getting up to call the waiter to order. Once we called, he came to the table and we ordered two appetizers, which arrived another 15 minutes later. Once they brought them, this waiter, who calls himself "Iodice," insistently and annoyingly asked us to pay the bill. This really bothered us because we considered it truly rude, as we'd never had a waiter come to the table to pay the bill, as if he didn't trust us, as if we weren't supposed to pay it anyway at the cash register. He also justified his behavior by saying that the owner ordered him to make this request. Finally, other friends told me that this same waiter also dared to call a friend by a nickname related to his size. That's it, we kindly ask you to take action, otherwise we won't come to this place again and we'll cause bad publicity.
30/10/2025: My partner and I went there last night. For the first time in many years, we felt bad about the new, older waiter. As soon as we walked in, my partner felt like we were being watched. Then, when he approached, he made a pass at my partner, saying something in dialect like, "We didn't quite understand, he was talking about breasts." She didn't take her eyes off him the entire evening. They should hire serious staff, not malicious people; he looked like a Bedouin. I hope the owners read the review and do something about it, otherwise we'll never set foot in the nightlife again and we'll get bad publicity.

29/09/2024: Siamo stati a cena con un gruppo di amici. All’arrivo ci chiedono se vogliamo stare fuori o dentro. La serata lo permetteva, quindi abbiamo scelto di stare fuori, ma non avremmo mai pensato che “fuori” significasse stare in mezzo a una strada con tavoli, sedie in plastica e un coperto discutibile. Io, in particolare, ero in bilico tra marciapiede e asfalto, rendendo non poco scomoda la seduta.
Volevamo un antipasto, ma non c’era. Ci sono solo portate singole, ad esempio capocollo, polpette, ecc., al modico prezzo di 10-12 euro a portata. Ci adeguiamo e ordiniamo. Le portate sono da considerare sufficienti per una persona. Un piatto in particolare ci ha lasciato perplessi: zucchine fritte in pastella, 10€. Anche gli altri piatti non erano adeguati al prezzo, ma le zucchine erano scandalose.
La ciliegina sulla torta è arrivata quando nelle polpette con sugo si è palesato un capello incastonato nella polpetta. Piatto mandato indietro e non voluto più. Il filetto era buono, ma erano sì e no 300 grammi per 25€. Arriva il conto e il piatto mandato indietro non era presente. Amari e grappe offerti, ma c’era un coperto in più che non abbiamo contestato. Pagato e adios, a mai più.
