08/12/2024: I should start by saying that I confirm what the boys wrote below... They left beaten and disappointed and even with great politeness they didn't even reply... in fact we at the next table witnessed the whole scene and a call, the owner could have done it since they ask for the number when booking. For our part, so as not to make it too long, gnocchi with tasteless cheeses, overcooked noodles in Chinese udon style... Penne with tomato without infamy and without praise. Cheeses as an appetizer cut in alpine style. Bread not fresh... Maybe a Friday morning sandwich.. who knows. Bathroom light going off.. . Maybe timed and you have to go outside to reactivate it... And water to wash your hands with freezing temperatures. High bill and my wallet disappointed along with my stomach... For the same price we had fabulous dinners in other places in Piedmont. Congratulations

This restaurant stands out for its welcoming environment and its cuisine that celebrates the traditional flavors of the Vigezzo Valley. During the Pumpkin Festival, the Locarno Restaurant offers a menu enriched with seasonal pumpkin-based dishes. In fact, I chose a mixed appetizer with fried gnocco, a plate of pumpkin gnocchi with raw Vigezzino and Toma fondue and a polenta with pumpkin and zola. The restaurant offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for immersing yourself in the festive atmosphere of the country. The kindness of the staff and attention to detail make the gastronomic experience even more pleasant. We had to wait a while before being served, even though we had booked in advance, but I think this was due to the event itself which puts a lot of pressure on the staff. It was a pleasant experience, the place is welcoming and clean; the prices are very competitive and the portions generous. Overall, it's a place I recommend!

17/01/2025: Recommended for a lunch stop in Santa Maria Maggiore. We stopped along the foliage train route to Locarno. In the center, therefore not far from the station, next to the church of S. Maria Assunta and the Chimney Sweep Museum. Excellent quality/price ratio. The choice of dishes is decent. Courteous and efficient service. A beautiful and good experience
