05/08/2026: We dined at this beautiful restaurant directly overlooking the Pizzo seafront. A historic building that exudes emotion even inside.
A truly positive experience, the staff were truly competent and attentive, but what matters most, beyond "appearance," are the dishes. The fish was prepared beautifully! The fried octopus or the red shrimp tartare are highly recommended. As for the first courses, the seafood pasta or the paccheri with scampi are truly delicious.
The tuna with Tropea onions is exceptional.
A journey worth taking and losing yourself in.

18/08/2026: This is our first time at this beach resort. The cashier wasn't very attentive when processing a payment. Despite repeatedly saying I needed an umbrella and two loungers for the beach only, not the pool, she insisted on charging me 40 euros, claiming she'd also included the pool. Let's move on to lunch. Calabria has always been known for its good food. I had a fish appetizer and stopped there because I was very disappointed. The bill for the main course was only a couple of small things. I'd give the beach resort a 4-star rating, but unfortunately, the rest isn't.
17/08/2026: We stumbled upon it by chance and won't be returning. Restaurant prices, tablecloths, paper napkins, an already opened bottle of wine (usually opened at the table), and coffee in a plastic cup.

13/08/2026: A truly positive experience. Excellent food and excellent pizza, prepared with care and quality ingredients.
The owner is very kind, helpful, and professional, as is the entire wait staff, always courteous, attentive, and helpful.
One of Le Castellane's absolute strengths is its location: it's practically in the heart of Pizzo, overlooking the central Piazza della Repubblica. During the summer, you can dine outdoors in a truly picturesque setting, with a splendid view of Murat Castle, the Marina di Pizzo below, and, in the background, all the way to Vibo Marina.
A location that's probably one of the most beautiful in Pizzo, making an already excellent dinner even more enjoyable thanks to the quality of the food, pizza, and service.
Highly recommended.
05/08/2026: The pasta bolognese I got was stale, stinking minced meat, inedible. The carbonara, on the other hand, wasn't even close to carbonara; it looked and tasted like it had been waiting for us for two days. Avoid.

10/06/2025: Il pesce è fresco,ma la pizza è superlativa...siamo capitati domenica a pranzo ci ha incoriusito il nome del locale abbiamo notato che a pranzo facevano anche la pizza.
Chi ha preso antipasto e pesce tra l'altro un'orata di mare appena pescata,io ho preso la pizza la mortazza base bianca bufala e mortadella appena affettata qualcosa di indescrivibile questo locale è stata una scoperta... complimenti!!!
04/05/2025: lo hanno consigliato alcuni amici che erano stati invitati per pasquetta,ed erano stati altre volte,dicendo che in questo locale la qualità non scende nelle feste “comandate “ tornando al pranzo,primo maggio con menù alla carta,locale pieno in ordine di posto,addirittura alcuni mangiano fuori ai gazebi, noi abbiamo ordinato dei mare misti caldi/freddi,chi a preso linguine ai frutti di mare,chi crema di scampi,io personalmente ho preso dietro consiglio di una giovane ragazza (penso la figlia del proprietario)una parmigiana do pesce spada,prima volta che l assaggiavo,ottima direi e poco,dopo è uscito lo chef,che si e’ sincerato dell andazzo del pranzo ,abbiamo fatto tutti i complimenti per la bontà e il servizio celere

09/11/2024: Posizione molto suggestiva, sul lungomare della marina di Pizzo. Abbiamo mangiato dell' ottima frittura di calamari , freschi e teneri e una torta di mele appena sfornata davvero eccellente. Il personale attento, gentile e professionale.

28/08/2023: Abbiamo mangiato la pizza, non male …. MA IL SERVIZIO È PESSIMO, la cameriera non si degna di un saluto all’accoglienza, non si degna di un prego alle volte che l’abbiamo ringraziata per averci portato il bere ed il cibo. Con 3 tavoli occupati in tutto il locale non viene a portare via i piatti prima del caffè e lo porta (dopo nostra richiesta di attenzione al tavolo) lasciando li i piatti sporchi.
