08/05/2025: This will be our regular restaurant whenever we are in Craveggia / SMM, as we have bought a house almost next door.
The service is very polite yet discreet. The food is excellent, dishes are large and fair priced. We came for lunch.
We will be back!

View of a magnificent landscape, the only flaw is that the rooms overlook the church bell tower.
Some rooms overlook the woods.

14/06/2025: I know the area well and have visited Rifugio Il Camoscio several times, but unfortunately, my last experience was rather disappointing. I was particularly struck by a member of staff (I'm not sure of her exact position) who behaved unprofessionally when dealing with guests. She seemed arrogant, unapproachable, and quite unfriendly both on the phone and in person.
The food also didn't impress me. The menu has remained the same for years – there are no new ideas, no daily specials, or recommendations from the chef that would tempt you to try something new.
Overall, there are certainly better options in the area – both in terms of service and the quality of the food. It's a shame, because the restaurant's location actually has potential.

10/04/2025: We spent a day at the plain, renovated restaurant, nice, but not quality for money.. too expensive for the quality of the food, friendly but unsmiling staff.. not many people.. well... overall nice place.. nothing special..
24/03/2025: We took it to have a dinner at high altitude on Saturday evening.... despite the rain at the start, and the snow at high altitude it was a beautiful and fun experience, the cable car guys are good, friendly and professional even in giving all the details.

Ristorante Rifugio Blitz

06/07/2025: We went to eat at the Refuge after a walk immersed in the colors and scents of the Vigezzo Valley, a beautiful place, well-kept and tranquility reigns supreme, after being welcomed and promptly seated out of curiosity we read some reviews and felt "displaced" by some very critical but also very contrasting with many other positive ones but now seated we continued to choose from the menu the very tempting and typical proposals of a mountain refuge.
Well what can I say? perfect lunch, abundant, quality products well cooked, personally the panna cotta for dessert is amazing, shame then having to drive because the gentian is a real gem, a local product of the chef ... see you soon Blitz

16/03/2025: Abbiamo prenotato per un pranzo domenicale, personale davvero cortese e disponibile, anche per la richiesta del seggiolone per un bimbo piccolo.
Ambiente e atmosfera “da rifugio”, ottimo il menù!
15/02/2025: Anni che non si veniva qua.
Il posto è sempre fantastico,il personale tutto a gestione familiare è doc e in compenso il cibo è da vero rifugio. UNA BONTÀ!!!!

16/06/2025: They knowingly served moldy parmesan. The chef had carefully inspected the cheese, which made me suspicious, since he did it standing at the counter.
The food was frozen products.
The service was very friendly, the waitress was very sorry, but that doesn't help when the management behaves like this. She showed him the moldy parmesan, but there was no reaction from him.
Never again!!!

11/05/2025: I was there by chance on December 8th with my partner. At the table they told us that the only option of the day was the menu from the markets. I didn't like it there because there aren't any markets in Craveggia, why take advantage of them? We stopped because it was already 1pm. The menu included an appetizer, a platter with local cured meats that only my partner took, in reality a sad little plate of cold cuts from the supermarket. We took two different first courses but in reality both were seasoned with lots of onion and bacon and nothing more. A dish truly poor in quality and flavour. All accompanied by undrinkable wine because it was vinegar. The second course was served to us with a finger by the waitress who even left her fingerprint on the slice of meat. The dish served to my partner, polenta and two or three varieties of meat, seemed like a mix of leftovers. My fries were full of oil. We avoided dessert. They made us pay 35e each for all this lunch that you normally find for 10e during the week!!!! Shameful. We will never go back and I do not recommend it to everyone.
I attach photos of the finger print and the oil from the chips, all shown to a waitress who apologised.
01/01/2025: We ordered the "crespelle del Leo" on the New Year's Eve menu, very abundant and good,
The log ordered with cream and cream for New Year's Eve is now a guarantee, not even a pastry shop can compete with the quantity!!!

22/08/2024: Partiamo dai lati positivi : bel locale caratteristico e confortevole, ragazzi simpatici e educati, porzioni abbondanti....cibo ok....lato un poco meno positivo il conto.
Diamo fiducia a questi giovani, possono migliorare e con buona volontà possono farcela.
16/08/2024: Locale storico accogliente, buon cibo , ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo e personale gentile. Assolutamente da tornarci. ❤️
