03/11/2024: Arrived by chance but it was a great discovery! The restaurant is almost invisible: you can reach it on foot (150m) from the road that goes up to the Fontane hill. Large outdoor terrace and, given the beautiful day, we ask if we can sit down to eat even if we haven't booked. We were told yes, without any problem (and today it is rare to sit down to eat without having booked!). Let's have an aperitif while waiting to start lunch. We are served 5 starters: Albese-style meat, veal with tuna sauce, peppers with anchovies, leek cake and herb roll, grilled aubergines in oil and, a compliment from the chef, soused courgettes. Simple but really good dishes! Continuing, my partner had agnolotti with roast sauce (very good) and I had roast beef with carrots and fried potatoes as a side dish (all excellent). Cake and coffee. Very kind and helpful staff! Bill: €30 each. Today with €30 you can eat a pizza, a farinata, a dessert and drink a beer in a noisy, crowded place, where maybe you have had a hard time trying to find parking and you also have to hurry to free up the table! At the Fontane restaurant none of this: you enjoy the pleasure of sitting at the table, eating in peace surrounded by a beautiful valley! Long live places like these!!!

23/12/2024: We ate a good pizza, the environment was warm and welcoming. Dogs are welcome and welcomed by their friend Giotto.
