24/09/2025: A Saturday lunchtime stop. The raw meat was excellent, the peppers delicate with bagna cauda, and the mixed fried fish.
The full menu is highly recommended for its value.

10/10/2025: We toured the cellars and had a tasting.
The guide (winemaker) was knowledgeable and thorough.
The cellar tour was interesting and informative.
The tasting was excellent for the wines, excellent for the cured meats and cheeses, but poor for the bread.
Overall, a very satisfying and appreciated experience.
19/09/2025: Gabiano Castle is impeccably preserved and offers a unique atmosphere from the moment you arrive. My wife and I chose to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary here, and we couldn't have made a better choice. We stayed in the 3 Clocks Suite: spacious, spotlessly clean, with an extremely comfortable king-size bed and a splendid view of the internal courtyard.
Don't miss the tour of the historic cellars and the wine tasting, which perfectly completes the experience. A much-appreciated bonus: pets are welcome, which isn't a given in properties of this caliber.
A stay that will remain in our fondest memories.

30/11/2025: Finally, after 30 days of trying (always sold out), I managed to book a lunch at Mrs. Velis's now-famous "panissa." With six other couples of friends, we confirmed this excellence, followed by boiled meat with vegetables, not to mention appetizers and dessert, which concluded the meal accompanied by a Barbera wine and a final glass of limoncello. The service was excellent and fast. Well done everyone. See you soon.
20/11/2025: It's been years since I've eaten at a restaurant where you can feel at home and time seems to stand still. The food is delicious and homemade, cooked by the owner who personally presents the dishes. You can usually choose between two first courses and two second courses, and if you opt for the full meal, including dessert and house wine, the price is unbeatable. I recommend it to anyone who wants traditional food and wants to try many typical local dishes.

Friendly and no-frills service by Renzo makes it a suggestive experience for the customers.
The wine is without too many pretensions.

But there's also a focus on new dishes, with a distinctive touch of culinary skill that many trendy restaurants in metropolitan areas forget. The wines (red in the case of our lunch) selected by the restaurateur were all completely satisfying in terms of taste. The need to also cater to vegetarian/vegan guests led to the discovery of delicious flavors, with dishes that, just by looking at them, inspired everyone to try them. And it was all delicious. Ideal for small tables, but for larger groups, it leaves even more room for fun. At very fair prices. Amazing! We'll always return!

06/09/2025: The food was excellent, the staff were polite, the service was fast and punctual, and the bathroom was clean and well-equipped.
22/08/2025: I had dinner at Bar One and ordered a piadapizza of the day with porchetta, a margherita pizza, and a double mozzarella white pizza. The pizza was excellent. The service was quick and impeccable. The blueberry cheesecake was delicious.
For me, it's 5 stars. It's a shame I discovered you so late, but we'll make up for it!

03/05/2025: In questo paesino a rilassarsi per un paio di giorni, immersi nelle colline del Monferrato a ridosso del Po. Imponente il castello Gabiano, (abbiamo avuto modo di visitarlo ed acquistare una bottiglia di grignolino ed altro…) adiacente al piazzale del Comune, attigua gli uffici PT vi è il ristorante bar la Chance. Qui, hai una panoramica unica, spazi sul paesaggio collinare di un verde e filari di vigneti. Alessandro, chef pugliese, titolare del locale abbiamo avuto modo di spiazzare nelle sue proposte di menù di pesce e cucina piemontese, proveniente dalla vicina Torino. Piacevole fare colazione, niente rumore, tranquillità assoluta.
