27/02/2026: Rich Piedmontese food...meat, salsa verde, veal with tuna sauce, cheese, succulent first courses...etc. etc. The whole menu is 40 euros if your stomach can handle it. They were very kind...
22/02/2026: Went for a friends reunion.
Frankly with all the high quality food you can get in italy & in Piedmont ,this was a delusions.
Too many starters when half would have done.
Clearly the quality suffered. viteltonnato overcooked and with cheap mayonnaise out of a jar was one example.
The "famous fry-up" was worthy of a British greesy sppon bar in Glasgow. Overfried,SOGGY.
i tried to introduce in the conversation the concept of a crispy fluffy japanaise Tempura, but it was invain, my friends had never tasted this delicious tempura.
I wouldnt go back and would stir my friends to go somewhere else in this marvellous country where good food is only 19 mwters away instrad of driving 3 hours return for this "experience".
P.s.the best part was the fantastic view of the Alps from the belvedere, worth the trip.
Go there for the view then retrace your steps and go and eat somewhere else.

23/11/2025: We stayed in a dream room, the tasting was impeccable and well attended, and the dinner was more than enjoyable.
A fairytale place where silence reigns supreme. Total peace and relaxation.
10/10/2025: We toured the cellars and had a tasting.
The guide (winemaker) was knowledgeable and thorough.
The cellar tour was interesting and informative.
The tasting was excellent for the wines, excellent for the cured meats and cheeses, but poor for the bread.
Overall, a very satisfying and appreciated experience.

23/02/2026: Everything was excellent, a bit of a wait, but it's ok on a Saturday night. Very good prices.
01/02/2026: This is a pub-style establishment located in the Piagera di Gabiano valley. I'd say the food is good quality, and the staff was extremely courteous and helpful. For a quiet evening with kids and friends, this is definitely the place. I'll definitely be back.

01/01/2026: Went there for New Year's Eve dinner... everything was fine up until a certain point... then it started to decline... a dead bug among the raw potatoes and a hair on the plate... the pasta is probably made better by a child who isn't capable...
Cold and disinterested welcome... a terrible opinion, I hope for the owners' sake that it's not like this on "normal" days...

28/10/2025: This is where the restaurant is rated, and it gets an excellent rating. Finally, here too, the history of family cooking is rediscovered. But there's also a focus on new dishes, with a distinctive touch of culinary skill that many trendy restaurants in metropolitan areas forget. The wines (red in the case of our lunch) selected by the restaurateur were all completely satisfying in terms of taste. The need to also cater to vegetarian/vegan guests led to the discovery of delicious flavors, with dishes that, just by looking at them, inspired everyone to try them. And it was all delicious. Ideal for small tables, but for larger groups, it leaves even more room for fun. At very fair prices. Amazing! We'll always return!

03/05/2025: In questo paesino a rilassarsi per un paio di giorni, immersi nelle colline del Monferrato a ridosso del Po. Imponente il castello Gabiano, (abbiamo avuto modo di visitarlo ed acquistare una bottiglia di grignolino ed altro…) adiacente al piazzale del Comune, attigua gli uffici PT vi è il ristorante bar la Chance. Qui, hai una panoramica unica, spazi sul paesaggio collinare di un verde e filari di vigneti. Alessandro, chef pugliese, titolare del locale abbiamo avuto modo di spiazzare nelle sue proposte di menù di pesce e cucina piemontese, proveniente dalla vicina Torino. Piacevole fare colazione, niente rumore, tranquillità assoluta.
