02/09/2024: This hotel is located in the village of Scopello, offering an excellent location if you want to reach bars, restaurants, and even the Tonnara on foot. If you book a room with a sea view, you will be amazed—this is the most beautiful view I've ever seen from a hotel. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. There are several issues that made our stay less enjoyable. The building is old and desperately needs renovation. In our room, the beds and wardrobes were made of old wood, seemingly from the 1960s. Closing the windows and doors was a challenge because the fixtures were worn out and difficult to manage. Additionally, the air conditioning unit was quite dirty, which is a health concern. The hairdryer in the bathroom was unreliable, working intermittently, which was another disappointment. When visiting Sicily, you expect a wide variety of fresh, local food, but unfortunately, the breakfast (8 euros) did not meet these expectations. The selection was limited to some fruit, store-bought yogurt, a few cakes and croissants. The only highlight was a homemade (I assume) yogurt cake. The service at the hotel left much to be desired. One notable incident occurred when my mother requested an extra bedsheet so we could sleep separately in the two beds provided. The receptionist was visibly unhappy about this request and simply left the sheet on the bed, forcing my mother to make it herself despite being a paying guest. On the second day, we requested a functioning hairdryer as the one in our room was faulty. Instead of apologizing, the same receptionist responded curtly, stating it was the first time someone had complained about it. Eventually, he gave us another hairdryer, although it was also in poor condition. Lastly, during breakfast, an international couple politely asked for scrambled eggs, a common and simple request in hotels worldwide. The staff member informed them that they couldn't prepare scrambled eggs and offered only boiled eggs. This experience was partly disappointing, especially because I am Italian and half Sicilian, so I have some understanding of Sicily’s landscape and culture. It is unfortunate that such a beautiful region does not consistently offer tourists the quality facilities and services they deserve. Too often, it feels like locals expect you to be grateful just for the opportunity to stay in their beautiful region and you have “to make do with what you have”. My advice, especially to international tourists, is to look for better alternatives where you will be welcomed and have all your needs met. Here, you won’t find that experience. Paying €75 per person per night is not worth it, considering all these issues.

06/07/2024: Siamo stati a pranzo in questo ristorante nel piccolo borgo di Scopello. Vista mozzafiato, cibo ottimo, ambiente unico. Mangiare con un panorama come quello che si gode dalla Terrazza è impagabile.prezzo più che onesto. Pietanze ottime.Personale corte e accogliente.Torneremo sicuramente.

27/06/2024: Piatti, servizio e gusto senza infamia e senza lode, direi tutto con poco sentimento. Prezzi in media con altri ristoranti nella zona più meritevoli.

22/06/2024: The dishes are well seasoned, even plentiful, but are good for people without intolerances and allergies of any kind, a little too touristy so you have to be careful about how the food is cooked, I'll explain better ask for a busiate pasta Trapani style, so anything except presence of prawns or crustaceans of any kind, well as excellent as the dish was, my wife risked anaphylactic shock, we stemmed it with intramuscular Bentelan and we opened but did not use a vial of adrenaline. All in all for tourists """everything picturesque""" can be fine, with my star chef wife they hit the wall..... But don't see this review as a condemnation, this was simply our experience.

28/04/2024: A PLACE TO AVOID. I had a DISGUSTING unleavened pizza that tasted like low quality chewing gum and after waiting over an hour. Waiters who don't even know the name of the pizzas they serve at the table. CHANGE JOBS.
