28/09/2025: Calvi is flavor. It's that dish you wish would never end, that forkful that makes you crave another. From appetizer to dessert, chef Donato Calvi expertly crafted his own restaurant concept: contemporary and vibrant, yet respectful of Italian and regional tradition; simple, yet never predictable. The use of ingredients is intelligent and creative, never lapsing into unnecessary flourishes. The welcoming atmosphere, the attentive and professional service, friendly without ever being pretentious, complete the experience. What can I say, if you find yourself in Altamura—or even just in the surrounding area—Calvi restaurant is definitely worth a visit.
Recommended: Grilled beef ossobuco, Scottona steak tartare with ginger mayo, Linguine with red shrimp absolute, Brioche with chocolate chips and gelato. 🔝

16/08/2025: My partner and I had lunch yesterday at Biancospino, the best seafood restaurant in Altamura in our opinion. Despite it being a busy holiday, the owner took the time to welcome us during lunch and ensure everything was up to expectations.
We had a seafood appetizer (excellent),
an excellent first course, a glass of rosé, and a good dessert. Everything was excellent, with prices in line with the market. We'll be back soon! Thank you so much, also for the discount on the bill, which is rare these days.
15/08/2025: Terrible, big scammers, congratulations! The food was good, but the service was terrible, with incorrect orders and long wait times. The waiters repeatedly brought the wrong dishes and got the orders wrong. The surprise was that the bill ended up with the wrong extra dishes added. Furthermore, the prices of the individual dishes were insane compared to what was listed on the menu. I'm attaching a photo of the receipt for a single salmon dish, €25. The menu showed the price at half price, as did all the other prices. When I pointed out the error on the receipt, the owner responded with great arrogance and rudeness. I do not recommend!

06/01/2024: Scandalosi! Ha piovuto sul tavolo e non si sono affatto scomposti, anzi abbiamo pagato un riso in bianco (per una persona tra noi che non stava benissimo) 8 euro. Un piatto in cui era stato richiesto un ingrediente in meno è stato invece fatto senza eliminare l'ingrediente come se non fosse stato chiesto nulla e alla fine senza fare un minimo di sconto per i disagi avuto hanno pensato bene di aggiungere un euro al conto finale per una mela verde. Depennato!!!
