09/08/2024: Last night we had dinner in this place for the first time, booked by some friends of ours, let's start from the location which is beautiful to say the least, with attention to the smallest details, from the walls to the ceiling to the furnishings which all match perfectly, food, a real surprise, very fresh fish, prepared with skill, we had to try appetizers, first and second courses, all delicious, the two guys who served were kind and not intrusive. Unfortunately I feel like not giving the star that is missing for a small thing that in my opinion should be added, namely a menu where you can consult proposals and prices, which unfortunately is missing, the boy comes and lists the various dishes, where however the customer does not have way of understanding when you are going to spend. Then I must say that at the end of the dinner the bill was fair for the quality and quantity, but I highly recommend a written menu. But I highly recommend it and we will certainly return.
24/07/2024: The evening in this fish restaurant located in the old village of Trentinara was truly very pleasant. Trentinara is famous because it is considered as a terrace from which you can enjoy a unique panorama over the entire plain that goes from Agropoli to Battipaglia with the sea, Capri and the Amalfi coast in the background. The location of this restaurant focuses instead on the more rustic part of the village and on its ancient walls, all made of well-kept stone, which give a warm atmosphere to the rooms. The restaurant is purely fish-based and the menu is not written there as it varies depending on what can be found freshly from the market. The choice is truly commendable and I fully appreciate and support it. A small suggestion is to list the relative prices together with the dishes of the day, just to be correct. Then, but we will only find out at the end of the evening, the cost will not only not be a problem, on the contrary, it will be one of the restaurant's strong points. The friendly dining room staff explained the evening's proposals well to us and we started with two cold/hot appetizers to be divided between 4 and I must say that the choice was spot on given the very generous portions that characterize their entire offering. After bruschetta with tomato they brought us smoked salmon and tuna, a superlative octopus and seafood skewers. Then we continued with some fried courgettes and squid and finally an exceptionally tasty dish of octopus with tomato that you couldn't help but "scarpet"! My children and I then continued with 3 first courses: scialatielli with lemon and shrimp for my little one which I found fantastic, paccheri with fried aubergines and fish for my older one where the seasoning was truly divine and super tasty, while I I've been on some classic scialatielli with seafood. The preparation and quality of the pasta, as well as the raw materials, are exceptional in all three dishes. To finish, my partner and I had a baked turbot with potatoes which, although appreciated for the freshness and quality of the raw material, however did not convince us much in the preparation which we found a little heavy and too greasy. The fried food my little one got was also very good. To accompany the evening we drank an excellent Valentina, pure Fiano, from Ruotolo which never disappoints! Also in the 2022 vintage. As mentioned, the quality/price ratio is truly one of the strong points of the place, as is the freshness of the raw materials used.
