31/08/2024: Storico ristorante di Capri. Non ci venivo da dieci anni. Secondo me la qualità è leggermente calata. Servizio buono. Rapporto qualità prezzo nella media locale. Comunque resta sempre una garanzia. Consigliato
29/08/2024: Personale accogliente ma il menù da rivedere. Spaghetti alle vongole veraci 40 euro a piatto. Le vongole se vengono servite senza guscio sono senza carta di identità quindi il “verace” non corrisponde alla realtà!

05/11/2023: Day visit to Capri, in the middle of a rainstorm, no umbrella. Gave up trying to kill time so arrived at restaurant bit earlier than opening. Staff could not have been more helpful, towels to dry off etc. Finally got settled and food, wine and service all exceptional. In particular, the risotto - best ever anywhere.
Would love to revisit and try the dinner service.
03/11/2023: A hidden of the main path of this lovely little town is this place. Does not look like a lot, but is superb. Especially this little beautiful garden patio in the back. Excellent salads, pasta and pizza! Really among the best we had. More than worth it to walk a few more steps!!

22/08/2024: Siamo entrate per caso a pranzo in questo ristorante molto carino, ci hanno subito accolto e ci hanno messo in un posto molto appartato (avevamo chiesto esterno in quanto fumatrici).
Ci ha servito Vincenzo…che dire! Lo abbiamo subito adorato!
La mia amica ha preso una pizza, Napoletana Doc (Margherita) ed io fusilli con broccoli e salsiccia (super consigliato)!!!
Il mangiare è stato top, ma soprattutto siamo state bene grazie a Vincenzo che comunque interagiva con noi, ci consigliava e rideva e scherza con noi.
Super consigliato come posto, tant’è che siamo tornate un altra sera per cena.
11/08/2024: Eu fiz uma viagem por toda a região de Nápoles / Amalfi e este foi o único restaurante em que eu me senti enganado. O valor que veio na conta não representava preço dos pratos que pedimos. Os garçons deram algumas explicações, mas não me convenceram. Para não estragar as férias eu paguei o que cobraram, mas, apesar da comida ser razoável, não recomendo o restaurante. Mesmo em Capri, que é um lugar caro, não tivemos problemas em nenhum outro restaurante.

29/08/2024: Location sicuramente molto suggestiva ed instagrammabile, ma purtroppo il cibo ed il servizio non sono all’altezza della location, né della fama di cui gode questo ristorante.
A Capri ci sono posti in cui è possibile mangiare molto meglio e anche a costi più contenuti (ovviamente sempre considerando che si è a Capri).
23/08/2024: This is the most stunning beautiful place in Capri with lemons as big as your fist hanging everywhere! But the gem is the food- of course the lemon pasta is a must- but the food and service are top par. Of course it’s a little touristy but most Italians go after 9pm. It’s a staple and a do not miss!

01/09/2024: An excellent restaurant very well located in a quiet and extremely pleasant environment with beyond charming staff, an adorable boss and a menu that we like, typically Italian but at the top of the range. Not to mention the top wine cellar from top. In short, go there with your eyes closed, you won't regret it, believe me!!!

Pizza - average, at best
Service - painfully slow; took over half an hour to get one pizza. When asked about the order, was told “you order one pizza, others order two, three”. How unprofessional and rude
Attitude - See above. Also when asked for drink list, was told there is none, but ask him. When asked for the no -alcoholic drinks, showed his frustration, seemed exasperated being asked for details.
Was recommended the place by tour guide. Forgot the old saying of following recommendations of tour guides. Big mistake.
One star given for a very average pizza. Zero for everything else.
Sure there are other restaurants with better attitude.
18/08/2024: We ate at this restaurant I will try to find positive things to say unfortunately apart from the location I can't find anything positive. We took 2 pizzas as well as a 3-course lemon escalope, bordering on inedible, for a total of €96. Let's not talk about the waiter who served us, who gasps when we ask him for water, a real slap in the face throughout the service. We didn't stay long because we were in a hurry to leave.

05/07/2024: Ristorante con posizione invidiabile, adiacente la famosa piazzetta di quest’isola amena, gode di una vista privilegiata sul sublime e iconico golfo di Napoli con il Vesuvio sullo sfondo. Le portate scelte risultano eccellenti: cappesante fritte per antipasto, tonno e ricciola freschissimi e cucinati alla perfezione. A concludere un gustosissimo dessert composto da profiteroles al cioccolato bianco e pistacchio . Amichevole, solerte e puntuale il sevizio. Ampia scelta di bottiglie locali e non.
30/06/2024: Fantastic view of island. My husband and I and another couple that we met on a Sailing Boat Excursion had lunch at this restaurant. The restaurant is clean and we were able to relax while there. I had the Tartufata and my husband had the Contadina. The meals were good but expensive. Service was excellent.

18/08/2024: Bad beach with a lounger costs 30 euros, food and drinks are extremely expensive. Instead of freshly squeezed orange juice, there is a cheap tetra pack of juice for 8 euros for half a glass. Not recommended. There is no greeting either.
17/08/2024: It's crazy that there are unattainable seaside facilities like the Saracen tower where to go down to the sea, in addition to the enormous distance from the buses, you have to climb a hundred very steep steps and then pay 40 euros per person for a sunbed only if you stay for lunch. We had lunch with single dishes of very small quantity for 55 euros each. In the fried prawns and calamari I counted 7 pieces!!. So 95 per person for a sea that is too difficult to reach from land without a beach with a very narrow and not even clean sea space to enjoy without hours of the return being impossible with a climb to get back to the center. No buses, no taxis.
A rude and unwelcoming attitude on the part of the managers, almost as if they were doing us a favor by letting us in.
Excellent for Americans, Russians, Arabs, and other types of rich people who come from yachts to the restaurant.
For Italians there is little to enjoy on Capri now.
I don't know how something like this is acceptable... if one day foreigners or rich people no longer go there it will be difficult to bring back the Italians of the past.

La Canzone Del Mare

02/09/2024: My experience at the Canzone del Mare establishment on Saturday 31 August was terrible to say the least. I went with some friends to spend a relaxing day, but unfortunately we were disappointed on all fronts. First, the service was extremely slow and disorganized: we waited more than two hours for lunch, and the food we received was of questionable quality. The pasta was overcooked and very salty, with the fish practically non-existent. Despite constant requests for updates, since my friends had to take the hydrofoil, we were continuously told in a "nice" way that the food would arrive "in two minutes", which turned out to be just a joke . It is unacceptable to wait over two hours to receive two pasta dishes, a tartare and a gazpacho.
Assistance on the beach was also lacking. We encountered problems from small things, such as ordering a simple bottle of water directly to the sunbed, up to potentially dangerous situations. An umbrella flew into the water due to the strong wind, and only after ten minutes did a lifeguard intervene, when the bathers themselves had already recovered it. This behavior is quite irresponsible and puts the safety of guests at risk.
The only positive aspect of the day was the surrounding natural context, which however is certainly not thanks to the establishment. Luckily, there are many other beaches to choose from on the island, and we definitely won't be returning to Canzone del Mare. Added to all this is an exorbitant price for a service that is practically absent.
