24/08/2025: We arrived today to visit this small village recommended by a friend, and we noticed this trattoria in an alley. Intrigued by the slightly vintage sign, we asked if we could eat there, and the girl who welcomed us was simply extraordinary. A true Sicilian, we ordered the menu of the day, a delicious, spicy chicken with salad and potatoes, and I also ordered grilled vegetables. What can I say?
Compliments to these guys (from the chef and everyone involved), a family-run establishment. Giving it five stars is an understatement. Highly recommended.
16/08/2025: Nestled among ancient alleys with seemingly haphazardly arranged yet truly picturesque tables, this delicatessen offers a few excellent dishes (meat and seasonal vegetables) whose simplicity and pure flavor are truly rare these days. A warm welcome and extremely polite service. Congratulations!!

19/08/2025: A lovely restaurant with good food, located second row from the beach. The burgers are juicy, the portions are generous, and the fries are good. The pizza was also very good and well-topped. The prices are perfectly reasonable, and the service is extremely polite and attentive.

25/05/2025: Disappointing service. I tried to use the QR code to access the restaurant app, but none of the ordering devices worked. I reported the issue to the staff, but was told that the devices were perfectly functional and that it was not possible to use the QR code directly at the cash register, which is quite unusual. The service was also extremely slow.
14/05/2025: The girl who served us was very helpful, the products they sell for food are unimaginable, we are not even talking about fast food or pre-cooked food, all of very poor quality.

16/08/2025: We ate very well and received excellent advice from the staff. The restaurant is Mexican-style, very clean, air-conditioned, and close to the Terrasini square. The service was plentiful, attentive, and helpful. The owners are very attentive to customer feedback. Excellent value for money. I highly recommend it.

26/06/2025: Absolutely fantastic food in fact I put 5 stars but for the service I would put 4 stars only because a couple of times I met a slightly rude cashier but overall you have to try it ps I would lower it to 4 stars because the person taking the orders got confused about the condiments for me it is not a problem but for those who it is a problem it could cause longer waiting times I do not lower it to 4 stars only because it is enough to underline the condiments that you want to remove but in my case it was a bit bad

16/07/2025: Scalia Comida Mexicana was referred to us by Alex from another restaurant. The Al Pastor tacos and Birria tacos were great. Manuel also brought some taco chips and guacamole in an avocado half asa a bowl. The lime flavor made it especially good. Next, he brought out a three-sectioned plate of sauces: mild, medium, and the last one with hot chili flavor. Those were fantastic! We finished it off with cinnamon churros. The best food in Catania!
23/06/2025: It was a beautiful experience. Attentive and prepared staff, very good dishes and with quality ingredients, we will definitely be back very soon.

16/06/2025: I have been to this restaurant with some friends of mine and we waited to pay for about half an hour because at that time the owner is busy doing something else even though he was passing in front of us and totally ignoring us. Very good food for goodness sake but the service very poor

20/07/2025: Unfortunately, our experience wasn't the best. The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff was courteous, but the food didn't quite meet our expectations. We struggled to swallow the Mexican dish, and the next day... let's just say our stomachs definitely had something to complain about. It's a shame, we expected better. We hope for a future improvement.
21/05/2025: We were pleasantly surprised by "Il Pappamondo", a truly exceptional discovery! We tried the pizza and it was simply perfect: light, incredibly digestible and with an exquisite flavor. We can't wait to return to try the other specialties and complete our gastronomic experience.

21/04/2025: Elegant table and attentive table service, but too long waiting times. The pizzas are very good, but the meat-based main courses are limited in quantity and not out of the ordinary, the price is unjustified, their hot bread is good. The desserts were absolutely disappointing, we ordered a cheesecake and a strudel which in reality were completely different, but I appreciated that they gave us some free biscuits at the end of the dinner.
20/04/2025: Tavola elegante e servizio al tavolo curato, ma tempi di attesa un po' lunghi. Le pizze molto buone, ma i secondi a base di carne invece scarsi nelle quantità e non fuori dall'ordinario, ingiustificato il prezzo, buono il loro pane caldo. Assolutamente deludenti i dolci, abbiamo ordinato una cheesecake e uno strudel che in realtà erano tutt'altro, ho apprezzato però che ci abbiano omaggiato dei biscottini a fine cena.

09/07/2025: Ragazzi mi dispiace ma i vostri modi sono stati imbarazzanti , col cliente ci si scusa per la lunga attesa, non si diventa arroganti e poi non far pagare il conto con quell’aria di presunzione è solo un modo per dimostrare la differenza di età tra voi e il cliente come dice la finta proprietaria del locale, tra l’altro il cibo era veramente scadente non è motivata l’attesa! nell’interland vi assicuro c’è un messicano di gran lunga migliore con i modi garbati e autenticità dei sapori … crescete e mettete da parte la presunzione
P.S. Con i 50€ che vi abbiamo lasciato sono certa che vi siete più che ripagati la spesa delle materie prime. Buona fortuna
08/07/2025: Esperienza pessima, non posso recensire il cibo perché dopo un 1e 45 seduti non abbiamo mangiato nulla, solo una bottiglia d'acqua è un calice di sangria.Personale assente, ho chiesto più volte notizie sul mio ordine e nessuno riusciva a dare una risposta. Ma il vero vincitore è il tizio alla cassa, quando ho pagato acqua calice di sangria e coperto, non si è nemmeno degnato di scusarsi per l'accaduto. Anzi sembrava quasi irritato

25/03/2025: Servizio e disponibilità eccellenti. Il personale è stato gentilissimo ad accogliere ogni nostra richiesta. Cibo prelibato, selezionato e curato nella cottura. Ambiente confortevole ed accogliente. 10 Stelle con la Lode. Uno dei migliori ristoranti che abbiamo provato. Ampia scelta di piatti. Lo consigliamo caldamente.
13/01/2025: Ottima riconferma ad un locale pulito, e ben organizzato. Ottima la cucina, ho gustato un tacos vegetariano (fagioli, peperoni, melanzane, ...) accompagnato da tre salse.
Piatto da 10 e lode.... seriamente consigliato.
