23/12/2024: Nice place, good food. Adequate service.
22/12/2024: We went to this place which offers good food and typical Veronese products. The owner tries to entertain with a touch of theatricality, which you may or may not like, but overall it is acceptable. However, I wouldn't stay here again. The prices are really high, considering that the restaurant is located outside the center of Verona.
Three of us had dinner, ordering: 3 starters (normal, if not even reduced portions), 3 second courses, 3 desserts, 2 bottles of durello, one of water and 3 coffees. The final bill was 180 euros: decidedly excessive for what was offered. Sorry but I won't be returning.
I'm sorry to give an overall rating of 2 stars but the final cost really saddened me.
IN RESPONSE FROM THE OWNER:
I arrived last and did not eat the bandola, nor did I ask for it. I believe that the location of the restaurant can influence the price, and I believe the influencing factors are well known to you too. I don't want to discuss the quality of its products, which is good, but I find the price to be exaggerated compared to other restaurants with similar quality.
Silence is often golden. In my first review I didn't focus on your attitude, but given your response, I believe that you aspire to imitate the historic Verona restaurant, "Trattoria da Ropeton", unfortunately without success.
His presence at the table, when ordering and later to collect the crumbs, was accompanied by vulgar jokes and swearing. Personally, I don't find swearing funny, on the contrary, I consider it a source of embarrassment. As a Venetian, I feel ashamed at the thought that, instead of promoting the beauty, delicacies and creative abilities of our territory, space is given to this useless display of blasphemies, which here we call "pulling pigs" or "throwing blasphemies".
Dear Corrado, silence, many times, is truly gold.
