06/10/2025: Amaznig pizza and fresh juise drinks. The waiter didn't understood english but we managed to comunicate somehow. Prices are okey. I recommend going there ☺️🌺
04/10/2025: A charming place with exceptionally friendly service and excellent food. Everything is fresh, the portions are generous, and the cuisine is top-notch. We've already visited twice and will happily return again.

24/10/2025: A high-end pizzeria that won't disappoint those willing to spend a little more.
Thin, easily digestible dough, excellent toppings (the mozzarella, mushrooms, and passata were all good, but it's a shame about the prosciutto, which was decidedly too salty).
I didn't drink wine (never with pizza), but the wine list is extensive and varied.
The dessert menu was presented without prices (and then a bit steep on the bill), and ultimately, the finish couldn't compare to the excellent pizzas that preceded them (I've had better almond parfaits, and the Sicilian treasure chest was a scoop of almond gelato with a faint hint of pistachio and practically no orange).
Enchanting location, excellent service.
The overall rating I see now (4.2) is also what I would give if I could give decimals. It wasn't my first visit, and I'll definitely be back.
14/10/2025: High quality. Bit pricey but mostly locals eat here so that’s the best recommendation.

Enjoying delicious fresh fish simply grilled after choosing one from among many others.
A great restaurant not to be missed!
01/10/2025: La Grotta – the food was, of course, very good. Surprising – despite the name – was the ambiance inside, beneath the giant lava boulder. Also surprising: you place your order at the fish counter right when you enter => the freshest fish.
And we've never before received a whole bag full of delicious rolls, like coperto bread. Naturally, very fresh and delicious. Overall, a special experience, also due to the restaurant's location.

16/09/2025: The ambiance is truly beautiful and inviting. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was disappointing: the service was inattentive, and the wait time was far too long. The food was completely unimpressive – the salsiccia was tasteless, and the fish was very dry. Only the pizza was okay. Overall, unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it.

01/09/2025: Raw octopus, swordfish rolls with nonexistent swordfish, unspeakable mussels au gratin, delicious fried calamari, sardines a beccafico with the same filling as the mussels (they kept me company all afternoon). Excellent lemon mousse, beautiful location.

Spaggeti alle vongole nice.
Nice view, next to the sea.
The lady at the reception could have been more polite when I asked her what time the restaurant closes.

13/07/2025: 45€ per cosa, esattamente? Un menù fisso che sa di fregatura.
Sono stato a La Bettola dei Marinai con la speranza di gustare un buon pranzo vista mare, ma sono uscito con la sensazione di essere stato truffato. Il famigerato “menù fisso” da 45€ a persona è una trovata ben confezionata per attirare clienti e svuotar loro il portafoglio senza offrire nulla di realmente all’altezza del prezzo.
Nessuna trasparenza su cosa includa esattamente il menù, nessuna possibilità di scelta, e soprattutto un'esperienza che non vale nemmeno la metà di quanto pagato.
Alla fine il conto arriva senza sorprese… ma con tanto amaro in bocca: 135€ in tre per qualcosa che altrove sarebbe stato classificato come “menù turistico” da massimo 20€.
Un’operazione ben studiata per sembrare autentica, ma che puzza di marketing ingannevole lontano un miglio. Non tornerò, e consiglio a chiunque di informarsi bene prima di sedersi. Unico aspetto positivo.. i ragazzi che lavorano li come camerieri

04/10/2025: The appetizers were excellent, some like the octopus and mussels, some terrible, like the bruschetta and shrimp sandwiches.
The first courses were good enough to avoid the awful fish main course, with the flavorless roulade and roasted squid. The wine and dessert were good. I won't be returning, though.
26/09/2025: The fish smelled unpleasant. The pasta was overcooked. The surimi risotto was unpresentable.

07/06/2025: Arrivati per caso in questa trattoria perché eravamo di strada e affamati. Ci accoglie il proprietario chiedendo se sappiamo come funziona questo locale. Alla nostra risposta negativa ci è stato spiegato tutto ma la sorpresa è stata quando è cominciata ad arrivare una quantità industriale di antipasti. Tutto pesce,cotto,crudo,fritto...una meraviglia! Terminati gli antipasti non siamo stati in grado di mangiare altro. Abbiamo concluso con un buon sorbetto al mandarino. Qualità ottima e gentilezza da apprezzare. Grazie!

11/04/2025: Outstanding seafood and incredibly fresh fish, beautifully presented. The wine was exceptional, and the desserts were truly memorable—especially the pistachio tiramisu, a delightful twist I’d never seen before, but absolutely delicious. Service was warm and attentive, and the ambiance, right by the sea in a cozy, charming spot, made the experience even more special.
07/04/2025: ieri sera cena a base di pesce eccezionale.
neonata cruda delicatissima, un risotto alla pescatora con tutti sapori del mare e poi una seppia cruda la cui semplicità ne metteva in risalto la freschezza. il tutto innaffiato da un calice di insolia ricco di profumi.
la cortesia e la simpatia del proprietario, hanno reso ancor più gradevole la serata.

25/10/2025: Fast food kind of experience. Took a burger, cannot really recommend. My partner had a so called "Winter" salad that she enjoyed so that might be worth checking out.
