13/01/2026: Il Pappagallo in Cattolica... A place all in all, not bad, but nothing exceptional... perhaps the only place in Italy where the four-cheese pizza is made with tomato... When I asked the person who brought me the pizza, who was the owner, but did you make the four-cheese pizza with tomato...?!? He just replied, "It's on the menu..." I said, "Sorry, you're right!" After a minute, I had the pizza taken away... After 10 minutes, he came back and said... He sent the pizza back... "If you want, I'll remake the plain pizza..." So I said no, thanks, and didn't eat. I said... I made a mistake, I didn't read it, and I'll pay for everything, as I did, but I don't want to eat at this place... My friends ate... If the owner of the place, seeing my disapproval shortly before, had said RIGHT NOW, if you don't like it I'll make it again white (without responding as he had before), I would have accepted, but he only came after I sent the pizza back, and for this reason, for me there are no excuses and I won't give him a second chance. At the end of a terrible day in which my car broke down in Pesaro and I was forced to stop in Cattolica... I was just hoping for a peaceful evening and instead they ruined it for me... So I don't give this place more than a star. There is no empathy... The desire to want to change the pizza only after I sent it back saying... it's not that I'll be poorer if I make you another one... For me it's one, it's the wrong response that deserves nothing. I know that in the end I didn't eat and I paid anyway... But the satisfaction of eating after the way he had behaved, I didn't give him and I didn't want to give it to him. So, remember when you go to the parrot, read the menu carefully, if you really have to go there... and if you order the four cheese pizza, say right away that you want it plain like they make it in the rest of the world!
12/11/2025: I happened to be in the area for work and had lunch at this restaurant, which is OPEN during the low season. The spaghetti with clams was excellent, and the mussels were plentiful. The price was in line with what I ate and the prices, which are all displayed. The daily specials were excellent, including the meat dishes, which I didn't try, but the diners next to me complimented them, so... The owner was friendly; when I entered early, he was playing cards with a gentleman. The overall feel is authentic. I think I'll be back soon.
