06/04/2024: A very pleasant discovery in the capital of Campania. "La Locanda di Mimi" in Sala, Caserta, offers different dishes from the Neapolitan tradition, based on excellent meat and also fresh fish, well cooked and presented, in a welcoming, familiar and at the same time very refined environment. The owners, attentive to customer needs, are affable but not intrusive. A nice little place to eat well even for tourists.

05/04/2024: Excellent service. The staff guides you in your choices without being intrusive. The kitchen is exceptional because it is capable of managing dozens of orders without delays. Even with a full house, the dishes at the same table, although different, practically arrive almost together. Excellent quality. I tried everything: appetizers, sea and land, first and second courses, sea and land, and pizza. You've never let me down. Absolutely fair prices for the quality offered
04/04/2024: One of my favorite restaurants in the area. They have an endless menu, literally dozens of dishes, some very elaborate, the fish excellent, I had a salmon tartarre with biscuits from Agerola which would not have disfigured in a starred restaurant, I noticed that the owner was eating at a table with his family and this seemed to me to be a sign of quality! I also ordered the dish I saw him take, a spectacular panzanella salad. The service is friendly and discreet, the wait is minimal, the cost is honest, some dishes are actually decidedly cheap like the calzone at 8.5 euros, given how it is filled and how plentiful it is, it would probably cost more to make it at home! As soon as I sat down they brought me 4 slices of very deep and delicious tomato pizza (free from the house), what can I say? Keep it up.

06/04/2024: Very good pizza, good service, modern-chic place, it's a pity that last time they made us sit in the room downstairs, after the toilets, where there was an insistent cellar smell, of humidity, which came from the stairs leading up to even further down, perhaps a cellar, in fact... I don't know... Then, another inconvenience, the last time, in the glass of wine there were small pieces of cork, of course... It can happen... But come on a little annoying. Finally, you should know that the prices are certainly not average, a little expensive especially if you eat delicacies and sweets.
01/04/2024: There are better pizzas in Caserta but there are no pizzerias with such attentive service and such a refined and refined environment. Compliments!
A single observation if I may: you could remove the plastic masks by now: they make you think of hopefully bygone times and distance the waiters from the customers.

24/03/2024: Nice place. I didn't give 4 stars for the excessively salty Pringles chips. The pizza was good, I had a Caneva and a Margherita with buffalo mozzarella. Average prices. The bathrooms were a sore point: they were impractical.

18/02/2024: the place is also nice... shame about the service. It was expected, without a minimum of reserve or education towards the consumer, that service errors were paid for on the bill. In the end the mistake was reconsidered, but the rudeness remains.
07/02/2024: Perhaps among the most beautiful places in Caserta... the food without shame or praise... I remain neutral because after all we only ate a sandwich...

04/02/2024: Hi, I celebrated my birthday today and both my guests and I were happy with the menu offered with quality and well-served food. Everything was excellent, thanks to the owner for his availability.
15/10/2023: Very long waiting times, salty cold cuts, poor wine even if bottled, two first courses arrived 15 minutes apart from each other and half an hour after the starter, listless waitresses, inedible Sorrento gnocchi! An embarrassing experience to say the least

17/03/2024: Luogo incastonato nel tempo antico... cucina familiare e tipica... fagottini alla nerano squisitissimi... Posto dove la semplicità e la genuinità divengono "Valori salvaguardati". Grande attenzione anche per il senza glutine.
11/03/2024: Location molto accogliente e familiare. Cibo ottimo e di qualità dagli antipasti al dolce. La proprietaria, su richiesta, ci ha preparato delle zeppole paradisiache. La conduzione è familiare e sono tutti gentili e disponibili. Da ritornare assolutamente.

17/03/2024: Today, Sunday 17 March 2024, we pleasantly returned after thirty years, together with a group of friends, to this restaurant to rediscover the flavors of a cuisine that respects tradition and good taste, not to mention the welcome of Mrs. Orsola, a lovely person.
And kind. We will definitely be back soon.

01/04/2024: I asked for cheese for the pasta, I finished the pasta and I'm still waiting for the cheese. I would have given 0 stars but it can't be done, lucky people😂
03/03/2024: I don't like giving negative reviews but RUDE should be reviewed, very easy, we sit in this magical place where we ate from 2pm to 3pm, an hour of waiting for a platter of cured meats and 3 plates of fresh pasta, without considering that I I had to get up to get water from the fridge and glasses but that's fine, rightly I didn't know it was a self-service, we get the pasta with tomato and ricotta which on the menu was defined as with "ragù" and ricotta, we go to the cash register to pay and kindly point this out to the lady who started to explain to us how ragù is made, after identifying myself as the Chef which I am only to make her understand that perhaps we spoke the same language she changed the content by saying "ragù in Naples is made like this, chef where do you do it? in Rome? “..first point you are not in Naples but in Caserta so by geographical notion you are Caserta not even Neapolitan, second point Naples is not all of Italy so maybe since you have been in Caserta for 40 years perhaps it is the case that you leave Campania and learn to have humility in understanding that ragù is something else, especially in Italy, because the pasta served was an obvious pasta with tomato that didn't even have the slightest hint of meat, but above all if any customer pointed out to me that it was got up to get water from the fridge and glasses with 20 place settings for stink and waited an hour for a cutting board and 3 fresh pastas, honestly I would shut up and do a little soul searching, but especially after 40 years of being in that local I would teach the girl who I don't blame that maybe the menu needs to be studied and maybe I would give her some basic knowledge to help her do her job better.
