02/06/2025: Abbiamo visitato l’Eremo di S.Caterina dove ci hanno consigliato questo Circolo per pranzare bene e con prezzi ridotti. Effettivamente abbiamo gustato un buon risotto ai frutti di bosco e taleggio (minimo per 2): gnocchi zola e speck e tagliatelle al ragù gradevoli, un vitello tonnato in grazia di Dio e pesce saporito (consiglieremmo soltanto al cuoco un uso più moderato del sale). Arredamento semplice e ordinato. Servizio veloce con personale cordiale e disponibile. In conclusione, il consiglio si è rivelato valido, sebbene i prezzi (data la categoria del locale) non siano risultati così convenienti: va detto che comunque nei giorni feriali c’è un menu a prezzo fisso davvero economico. In ogni caso, trovandoci in zona ci torneremmo (meglio prenotare).

02/06/2025: One of the best bars in Laveno, great for breakfast or lunch. A point of reference for many of the locals, especially for those over the age of forty. Friendly and helpful staff. Only one table outside, overlooking the roundabout.

16/03/2025: Unfortunately my experience in this bar was very bad. Some customers received a cutting board with ants on the plate and on the table, and when the ravioli arrived, there was even a hair inside. When we asked to turn on the heat mushroom outside, they looked for every excuse not to do so. Furthermore, almost all the staff were surly and rude, with the exception of Anna, who was the only kind one. I also noticed that kids are treated badly by bartenders, an unacceptable attitude. If it had been my son receiving similar treatment, I would definitely have taken action. Considering the poor hygiene, the unwelcoming service and the exaggerated prices for the type of place, I definitely won't return.

20/07/2025: A large, old hall with many tables. The service is chaotic. The food comes very quickly, too quickly for anything good! And it was accordingly. The appetizer, a tomato mozzarella salad, was a carelessly oversized mound of mozzarella with a few thin slices of tomato. It arrived at the same time as the main courses of the other guests at the table. My second course, a fillet with fries, only arrived after two interventions, after everyone else had already finished eating. The meat was very dry and completely unsalted. This, too, was carelessly presented on the plate with a pile of fries. The restroom is awful! A rotten toilet with broken seats, if it even has seats, and smells like a sewage treatment plant.
