In the heart of the hills on the border between Lombardy and Emilia, Volpara is a small village that hosts the Bar Trattoria Il Ceppo, a place with a simple and welcoming atmosphere. The menu offers typical dishes of the area, with a marked Piacenza influence.
The starters deserve a special mention, especially for the quality of the cold cuts, tasty and well selected. The first courses are very good, but the portions are a little small. As for the latter, they are normal: decent, but not particularly memorable.
Overall, Il Ceppo is a recommended option if you are in the area and want to enjoy traditional cuisine in a relaxed setting.

27/05/2025: I had the pleasure of spending a pleasant evening at Il tempio del Moscato, a corner of paradise immersed in the vineyards. The view at sunset is simply breathtaking: hills covered with golden rows that extend to the horizon, giving a magical and relaxing atmosphere.
The aperitif was a celebration of local flavors: the cured meats were delicious and accompanied by cheeses that enhanced every bite.
The Moscato completed the experience perfectly, with its sweet and refined taste.
The friendly and attentive staff, ready to recommend the best pairings. An experience to absolutely repeat, ideal for those looking for a moment of relaxation immersed in the beauty of nature and the quality of authentic flavors.

31/12/2024: Abito in zona e posso dire che questo è in assoluto il miglior agriturismo che si possa trovare tra la val Versa e la val Tidone!! il posto è super rustico, molto intimo, ti senti veramente a casa. Il menù è abbsastanza ristretto, poche scelte per mantenere la qualità altissima, io personalmente apprezzo la scelta!! Qui si mangia tipico, si mangia benissimo, si mangia tanto, e si spende poco, cosa vuoi di più dalla vita?!
01/11/2024: Tutto ottimo dall’ antipasto al dolce così come il vino!
Se si aggiunge la cordialità e la sapienza di Attilio e un perfetto equilibrio Qualità/Prezzo il quadro si completa!
