11/07/2024: We were at the "Canaja" on a festive day, inspired by the clear day after many days of rain and by the landscape with the flooded rice fields which, like mirrored glass tiles, each reflect a slice of sky. We booked at short notice but found a place. The restaurant is located on the corner between a passing street and a narrower one with a slight slope. Parking could be a problem. Inside the atmosphere is the rustic one of a trattoria. Counter at the entrance for coffee and liqueurs, floors with slightly uneven terracotta tiles, tables of different types and shapes, placemats and paper napkins, open kitchen with continuous chatter between dining room and kitchen staff. The Breme onion-based menu was available that day. I decided to choose it; someone else chose a more traditional menu. We liked both the onion-based appetizers and those based on local cold cuts. The main dish in the area is undoubtedly rice, cooked al dente. Again, both versions (onion-based and mushroom-based) satisfied us. The second course (roast beef) was also appreciated by everyone. The dessert (strawberry tiramisu) however made some people turn up their noses. The service was punctual even though there was a confirmation lunch that day. Our experience was overall positive, apart from the decidedly high cost for the type of place.
24/06/2024: In short... I don't recommend it because we had a bad time, unfortunately... the food is quite good. Much needs to be improved on the service... desserts not very fresh....
