I'm giving 4 stars hoping to add one.
I don't want to waste time making discriminatory reviews like so many do; I like to give advice. If I see it's not right for me, I'll stop buying. You can do all this without insulting or making a scene (addressing reviewers).
Back to the point
I've been ordering from them for almost 2 years, and over the past year, I've always found a lack of consistency in the size of the pizza and the flavor of the tomato and mozzarella, as well as the tiramisu, which sometimes arrives very small, sometimes just right for a restaurant.
I don't know if it's intentional to keep costs down or something else, but I still have faith in you, because those times when the dough was just right, the pizza is top-notch.
To respond to the restaurant
I always order a pan of Margherita pizza, plus extra slices if necessary.
The delivery box is always the same, so it's easy to notice when there's less dough, as others have said.
Especially the height.
We'll see when we order again. I understand that managing a restaurant and deliveries is stressful, but I hope you'll be consistent again.

13/09/2025: The first time I went, the pizza seemed excellent. Unfortunately, this opinion has worsened each time I've tried it. Once I found it too much, overcooked (with the mozzarella actually crunchy), another time it was thinner than usual, the last time we had a table of four and no two pizzas were cooked the same way—some were toasted, some were just right, some were overcooked. Ultimately, it seems to me that there's no uniformity, but if I go somewhere, it's to eat a certain type of pizza and not to discover how different it will be each time.

11/10/2025: A unique selection of meats and wood-fired pizzas. The homemade desserts are excellent. The staff is friendly and approachable; the place is small, and it seems like they want you to feel right at home! The atmosphere is simple and tidy, but a bit chaotic when full. The prices are very fair for the quality.
04/10/2025: We felt very welcome at this restaurant. We had a truly delicious meal (tagliata and spaghetti cacio e pepe) and the best tiramisu ever! Highly recommended.

The staff is professional, very attentive and courteous, and I might add, friendly ;)
The quality of the food is excellent, from the starters to the meat.

My partner and I stopped here on recommendation for a quick lunch and La Fossa directly exceeded our expectations.
The dishes are simple, plentiful and tasty.
As far as the service is concerned, it is excellent, and it is the real strong point of this place as well as the value for money.

18/09/2025: Nice place, very friendly staff. Excellent food quality. Neapolitan and non-Neapolitan cuisine. Unique and delicious pizzas. The next evening I opted for an appetizer and a first course. Everything was delicious. Prices were perhaps a little high, but that's acceptable for the quality. I'll definitely be back.

27/07/2025: come prima cosa questo posto è situato in un posto che fa rabbrividire veramente e sembra di essere nella giungla, come seconda cosa il cibo è di scarsa qualità, ci sono stata per la prima volta con il mio ragazzo e si urla te non ci torneremo, ci era stato consigliato spacciandolo per buono ma in realtà non è così, oltre al fatto che sono stata malissimo soprattutto alla sera (dissenteria) e sicuramente non lo consiglio, anche perché ci sono pochi piatti come scelta e non sono neanche così buoni… continuerò sicuramente ad andare al solito sushi estremamente migliore e con questo concludo sperando che la gente legga questa recensione e si faccia un’idea di quello a cui va incontro!

22/07/2025: We had pizza on Saturday night. The atmosphere is nice, we chose to dine outside. The table was a bit small for three, with drinks, cutlery, pizzas, and other items. Service was quick and friendly. I wasn't thrilled with the pizzas... mine in particular was a little burnt and cold/lukewarm, so it sat still before being served. Since it had mortadella, it would have been delicious served piping hot. What a shame! The Margherita was quite good, and the other pizza with sausage and chips arrived plain, without tomato sauce; perhaps that should be specified. Overall, however, we ate quite well.

25/04/2025: All smoke and no fire: a disappointment at Barbarossa
There are places that invest a lot in image, furnishings and a certain "right place feel", but then, when it comes to substance, they really leave something to be desired. This is the case of Barbarossa, a place that - at least on the surface - promises a pleasant experience, but which in reality fails to meet expectations in the slightest.
Costs are high, probably also due to the location and management focused more on marketing than quality. It's a shame that these costs fall directly on customers, who find themselves paying too much for a mediocre service. The cocktails are poorly prepared, watered down, served with four packaged chips as a side dish. No care, no added value.
If you have the misfortune of ordering a piadina to accompany the aperitif, the disappointment is double: poorly filled, tasteless, and in any case offered at an unjustified price. The value for money is simply unsustainable.
I decided to bring a friend for an aperitif: two drinks, a cost of 20 euros, and the clear feeling of not having made a good impression. And to think that it would have been enough to cross the street to find something much better.
Barbarossa is, unfortunately, a clear example of how appearance is not enough. Without quality, without attention to the customer and without honesty in prices, even the most "fashionable" venue quickly loses credibility.
