17/12/2025: The Mantuan risotto alla pilota (grained) was excellent. The pork ribs were excellent. The only downside was the wine: the Mantuan Lambrusco they offered wasn't great; there are better wineries...and we know a thing or two about wine, since we're from Mantua. The location is simple and welcoming, and parking is convenient. Recommended.

07/12/2025: A truly serious restaurant. They serve dishes prepared with high-quality local products. Their pursuit of quality is their strong point. The dishes are simple but of the highest quality. Prices offer a great value for money.

09/12/2025: Very good freshwater fish, friendly and attentive staff, carefully prepared dishes, but there's one problem: the portions are enormous, double, I'd say more suitable for a group lunch (or dinner) than for a couple. This "problem" is solved with the takeaway trays that the knowledgeable staff provide after each course. I highly recommend it. Reservations are required.

09/12/2025: The rest area is in a truly pleasant location and has plenty of spaces—over a hundred—all served by electricity. Unfortunately, however, due to disagreements between the municipality and the management, the facility is falling into general disrepair. The restrooms and showers are in terrible condition and are only located in the upper section, near the entrance, serving about twenty campers. The lower section, which on paper would be the nicest area, lacks at least a second waste disposal point, and an additional set of restrooms and showers would be needed. I know that in many other areas these services aren't even present, but then it's worth removing everything and at least keeping the area clean and tidy. In this case, however, it would be appropriate to reduce the fee: a fee of around €15 would be more appropriate given the current conditions.

13/11/2025: I went to Castel d'Ario for a walk, and I happened upon this place by chance, I ate really well.

05/01/2026: Excellent evening! The atmosphere is welcoming and spacious. It wasn't the first time, and it's always top-notch. This trattoria is located in the center of Castel d'Ario, with plenty of seating and a large parking lot. Reservations are always recommended, given the high attendance. I'd say the food is excellent, and the service is excellent, given the speed with which the dishes arrived. I noticed they also offer a lunchtime business menu, which I've personally never tried, but I think it could be very good. I can only recommend it to those passing through and those who live in the surrounding provinces.

03/01/2026: Very popular restaurant, well-made food with good ingredients.

20/12/2025: I'm local, but I confess I wasn't familiar with this place. I discovered it thanks to a business dinner a few days ago. I tried the cured meats appetizer, followed by a selection of cheeses accompanied by mustards and jams. The final highlight? The dessert trolley, simply spectacular. I'll be back soon.
