04/10/2025: We felt very comfortable at the hotel. The welcome was very warm, and the service was always courteous and very competent. The rooms are spacious and very well furnished. The food in the restaurant was excellent.
The spa area is beautiful, equipped with a sauna, a steam bath, and a small pool. Since this area can be booked for exclusive use, it's well-suited for 2-4 people. We found the music in the sauna a bit too loud (although we didn't mention this to the staff, otherwise they would have certainly addressed it immediately).
The hotel's location is beautiful; from the upper rooms, you have a wonderful view of the lake and Lugano, which lies diagonally across the street. However, there isn't much going on in the town itself; many restaurants were closed, and some buildings were deserted, or at least appeared so. There's a huge casino right next to the hotel, which we didn't visit.
``` A bus to Lugano runs approximately every hour; the stop is right in front of the hotel. You can also take a boat to Lugano; the ferry dock is about 7 minutes from the hotel.

30/09/2025: Our group stayed here for a couple of nights and it was really hard to leave — we loved the place! While the hotel itself looks a bit on the smaller side, the rooms were very spacious, beautifully designed, and full of natural light, giving a very inviting feel. The staff were welcoming, always smiling, and we truly appreciated their hospitality and kindness. We also enjoyed the thoughtful touches like complimentary drinks at a time of our choice and a discount for dinner at the hotel restaurant — which turned out to be absolutely delicious.

13/08/2025: Worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. After waiting over 40 minutes for a pizza, I found a piece of plastic in my mouth: disgusting and dangerous. The staff barely understands Italian, including the chef, with whom it was impossible to communicate. His response to what happened? "It can happen." Unacceptable. Chaotic and disorganized service: while we were eating, they even left dirty and empty sushi plates from other customers on the table. Hygiene standards were nonexistent and there was a total lack of respect for customers. Avoid this place at all costs: a health hazard. (I have a photo of the piece of plastic in the pizza but I can't upload it. I'll try now.)

La Solitaria

24/07/2024: Vado alla solitaria da diversi anni ormai, però nel corso di questo lasso di tempo ho visto crollare piano piano tutto quanto, e mi spiace scrivere questo perché mi sono affezionato al locale, l'area esterna la trovo molto rilassante, il personale è disponibile, però.....
I prezzi del menù sono diventati spropositati rispetto alla qualità e alla quantità di cibo che viene servito.
Le pizze, se prima erano una certezza della zona, ora sono sulla soglia del commestibile.
In generale sembra che voglia diventare un ristorante dedicato al turismo con qualità scarsa, prezzi alti, porzioni scarse in modo da far prendere almeno 3 piatti al turista che è lì in vacanza;
Però è un peccato che la gente della zona debba vedere "morire" posti del genere e abbandonarli in quanto delusi.
Ripeto, mi spiace fare questa recensione negativa a La Solitaria, ma lo faccio sperando che possa ritornare a splendere e spero di poterla cambiare in positivo un giorno!
