11/02/2025: I went to this restaurant attracted by the "Gourmantico 2025" initiative. I was pleasantly impressed by the professionalism of the dining room staff and the truly exceptional dishes. Definitely worth a second visit. The only flaw is the toilet...it doesn't influence my excellent opinion on the dishes, but, in my opinion, it deserves more care.
09/02/2025: We discovered this place through the gourmet review, Location although close to a "busy" road, very well furnished and quiet inside, only a small misstep in the service and attitude of those who welcomed us to the table during the aperitif but immediately remedied by the kitchen, the dishes well presented and very good in taste and substance, good at maintaining high quality for the entire duration of the menu, which is not to be taken for granted...we particularly appreciated the scallop salad and the garlic risotto citrus fruits and prawns. We will definitely be back to try it outside of the tasting menu we tried. In my opinion, there is little room for improvement in the service and there is a lack of small precautions for customers... for example just one bathroom is a bit small, I would change napkins for drying (paper is fine but thicker and more divided otherwise more would be wasted) and I would put a hanger for the bags and a freshener for the room, toothpicks for customers etc..) but overall passed with flying colours... excellent for fish lovers.

17/12/2024: Menu equilibrato, con un buon assortimento di piatti. Il cibo e il vino erano molto buoni. Il servizio è stato encomiabile. Eravamo in 20 con ordine alla carta e i piatti sono arrivati tutti con le tempistiche giuste. Non è facile trovare servizi efficienti e professionali come la quelli di questo locale.

31/01/2025: We enjoyed our dinner in this lovely, traditional, osteria. We don't speak any Italian, and the waiter didn't speak either of the languages we can manage but between he was very patient.
The food is simple but delicious and not expensive; and the restaurant itself is charming with lots of character and atmosphere.
31/01/2025: Great wines and great simple italian food. This is a rustic and excellent place to experience 'real' Verbania and I highly recomment a visit.

08/01/2025: Comfortable environment and menu that I have always appreciated a lot, especially the fried gnocco.
6 months ago I discovered that I have celiac disease so I thought I would have to close down with the restaurant completely, but instead I was informed that gluten-free pizza dough was available. I tried it last week and was very satisfied, medium-high dough and soft as I like it, unfortunately fried foods and products cooked in the oven are to be avoided due to contamination, but meat and pizza are safe and also recommended
I advise the staff to update the menu with an indication of the availability of gluten-free dough suitable for celiac needs, because if I hadn't asked by chance I would never have discovered it!
05/01/2025: I went for dinner and I had a terrible time. Slow service, they brought some dishes late and some had already finished eating, they forgot chips and they wanted to charge for them at the bill. I took the ribeye, they had to be in it together with the meat: baked potatoes, grilled vegetables and chimichurri sauce. Instead I received an overcooked rib that looked like the sole of a shoe, cold grilled vegetables resting under the limp meat, the baked potatoes were air fryer chips that didn't taste like potatoes and the chimichurri sauce was never added. Thanks, I hope for improvement
