23/02/2025: "Smart" pizzeria restaurant with attention to detail. Fresh flowers on the table (and it's not the first time) Clean place with good table linen. Exceptional pizza but not just the pizza. I recommend the pistachio pie, a real delight with FRESH cream. Compliments to the place but also to the waiter who makes the difference. Well done Daniele!
Equally important is the use of fresh ingredients (not a given) and a place where motorcyclists are welcome
22/02/2025: Very busy Saturday night but we didn't wait long. The Carbonara pizza was very good. I didn't like the desserts.

23/02/2025: Friendliness and simplicity and modest prices
16/02/2025: Simple, rustic place with particular home cooking with a menu of around 5 dishes to choose from, starters, first courses and meat. The mixed house starter is plentiful and delicious. For the first course we opted for tagliatelle with good mushroom sauce and second course sausage with fried potatoes. Excellent desserts, both the panna cotta and the Sacher cake with truly particular chinotto jam. We will be back.

18/02/2025: A decent spot for a quick meal, but more precisely for a lunch break for workers in the area.
The meat and stew offered in the menu of the day that we ordered were good.
Let's say that for a break from work the place reaches a more than abundant sufficiency in my "personal trattoria category".

Informal place also suitable for groups.
Warm and friendly service, cuisine with a wide choice of fried foods and excellent sandwiches.
There is also a good choice of draft and bottled beers.
Great music and friendly staff who are always very helpful. If you are in the area go there
30/12/2024: Di ritorno dal mare, abbiamo scoperto questo interessante locale, accogliente, per gustare deliziosi piatti guardando la partita. Da segnalare i tagliolini al salmonzola, fantastici!

25/01/2025: Heard good things from friends and out of curiosity we went to try lunch.... What can I say... Helpful and friendly staff, really excellent food! The ravioli with meat sauce left us speechless.
Price more than fair! Really highly recommended!!!

22/12/2024: I ordered a kebab pizza without vegetables and more eggs, I received a pizza without eggs and without tomato sauce (I would call it more focaccia) and they put vegetables on it, terrible service and for the price it's not worth it if I could put I would have given it 0 stars. not recommended to anyone
18/10/2024: Large venue and food worthy of the name but the staff would need to be reviewed. As soon as I entered I waited for the staff to finish chatting pleasantly among themselves, after which I asked for a kebab pizza (very good by the way) but it took me a while to make myself understood. 7/10

08/12/2024: Proprio oggi sono stata a Cairo Montenotte x vedere i mercatini..ho chiesto informazioni x un posto dove poter mangiare e mi hanno risposto"qui dietro alla Grotta,non sbagli" e sono rimasta senza parole x la bontà dei scialatielli ai frutti di mare.. ritornerò sicuramente....
27/10/2024: Non proprio la giornata migliore x pranzare oggi 27 ottobre a Cairo Montenotte, cittadina che ieri è stata investita da un'ondata di piena del fiume Bormida, ed oggi ne portava i segni sulle strade e nell'assenza di segnali satellitari e telefonici.
Ma arrivati al ristorante "La Grotta" abbiamo mangiato proprio bene, celiaci e non celiaci.
La mia carbonara senza glutine era fatta come si deve (e abbondante!), il fritto di acciughe (liguri, e freschissime) e calamari, pure. Lorenzo, il gentilissimo figlio dei titolari, è celiaco, e dare un servizio senza glutine è stato per i suoi familiari naturale, e certamente gradito.
I prezzi sono corretti, l'ambiente simpatico e tranquillo.
Tornerò sicuramente, e lo consiglio!
