23/01/2025: At the end of August we were here with friends, the restaurant has a beautiful family atmosphere with a great selection of pizzas and friendly staff. The pizza was absolutely delicious, 10/10! When I return to Rapallo, I will definitely stop by again.

27/01/2025: First restaurant we ate in when entering Italy and everything is a 10, the food is a 100, we are in Rome and there is no point of comparison and the staff is the same a 10, the taste of their food is difficult to forget 🥰 pdt We don't know the names of the dishes we simply sat down and they gave us 1,2 and 3 dishes, that is if we left rolling 😂

25/01/2025: They only serve at midday (lunch), but they are really large, generous and fast, organised. Of course it is a trattoria but it also operates a restaurant. It's worth going there. Eat both earth and mate! The only restaurant that serves fruit on the menu for workers. Tavern style and atmosphere, but good and plentiful food, they don't skimp on anything, already returned, book!

16/01/2025: Un piccolo locale nel cuore della città, silenzioso e tranquillo. Una focaccia al formaggio davvero folle: impasto sottilissimo, tanto stracchino e condimenti abbondanti. Da provare anche le schiacciate, senza lievito e molto molto buone pure loro (foto). Ho apprezzato molto la personalità che il ragazzo ha dato alle sue focacce. Servizio molto veloce (compatibilmente con i tempi di cottura, è chiaro). Da non lasciarsi scappare!

22/10/2024: If you go to Rapallo… which you absolutely should if headed to Genoa, Cinque Terre, Portofino…. This place is a must. It is difficult to decifer where you want to be on the map so let me assure you this is on the main square heading into “old town”. You can relax and people watch, you hear the chapel bell ring on the hour and everyone is approachable and very kind. Pino- the owner- is always there and he does not worry about rushing to meet someone else’s need- he pays attention and spends his time running his restaurant. Please go by and say hello and have a Spritz or glass of Vino- you will appreciate the details.

11/01/2025: My wife and I went for dinner, I must say it was absolutely a nice place, good food and good, precise and punctual room service. The first course was excellent, the desserts were good (the pear cooked in Barolo was exceptional). The prices are reasonable high, (all exposed anyway) but for what you eat I think they are correct because the raw material and the context are worth them.. the only flaw, if I have to split hairs, the coffee is really expensive..

Rarely nowadays you find a place like Madalù with the right combination of ingredients and personality. Fresh, crispy, zesty and full-mouth flavors re-evoking old regional cuisine with a modern twist. It’s a must go if you’re in the area

10/01/2025: A magnificent discovery! The food is excellent, with seasonal and zero kilometer products. The salad with seasonal herbs from their garden is truly noteworthy, as is the feast of artichokes we had! The meat: succulent, tender and tasty. All seasoned with a good wine chosen from the long list available. What makes the place unique is the union between good food and an authentic atmosphere: hundreds of small paintings and comics decorate the walls with daring elegance. The small details make the place one of a kind. We couldn't have chosen a better place to have lunch on a gloomy Sunday in January, I imagine how beautiful it would be to return in the summer given the location so immersed in nature!

04/01/2025: Questo è un posto unico! Ma per davvero! Il locale è spettacolare, tutto contornato da fumetti e vignette. Fuori dal comune, un museo fitto fitto di dediche di importanti autori. Il cibo… incredibile! Ho mangiato solo a base di verdure (per scelta) e ed e’ stata un’esplosione di sapori. Mio marito ha preso tagliatelle di castagne (molto buone), carne (il segreto) e selezione di formaggi… e tutto molto ricercato e di ottima qualità. Questo è diventato il mio posto del cuore! Il personale, Fausto con i figli, sono persone squisite, gentili e molto attente. Non è un posto consigliato, ma un atto dovuto se si è in zona (io per fortuna ci abito vicino..!) Grazie davvero!

20/01/2025: Chalet-style restaurant, located just above Rapallo, a truly beautiful place, surrounded by nature, a beautiful exterior with benches and tables on a lawn among the trees. Animals and games for children. The menu is excellent with typical Ligurian dishes... fresh pasta and grilled meat. Everything is also gluten free. Super recommended!

20/01/2025: Nice place, good first courses, appetizers I haven't tried, second courses with meat I was hoping for better... the dish with a skewer only without a side dish and nothing quite disappointing... fries not good... soft and not crunchy... price not cheap... I would expect more from a restaurant/trattoria of that type..

08/02/2025: A perfect venue. Really fair price. Thin and huge pizza. The fish first courses are really good. The staff is friendly. What can I say? A restaurant in a fantastic village, an area that is notoriously expensive, finding a cheap and good restaurant is a miracle. Compliments
